Milne's goal today where he soccered the ball away from a defender and then soccered it off the ground through the goal today was awesome and close to GOTY for me.

Who cares if it wins GOTY or not.

That award became a joke the year Lloyd won it.

The fact is that Liam Jurrah is a god damn freak. What a player.
 
Amazing goal from Liam Jurrah.

I havent seen a talent this amazing explode on to the scene since.. forever.


He jusy makes ebevryome elsde look woeful, he is that good.

And today was only his 7th game.

If he played for someone like Collingwood, Essendon, Geelong etc etc.. there would 100 threads dedicated to him.

Easily the most naturally talented player in the country.

And we havent seen nothing from him yet.


While Liam Jurrah is a great find and an extraodinary talent i think Cyril Rioli burst onto the scene more last year. Rioli is a whole new standard of extraodinary above all these quick indigenous players like the daveys, Jurrah, Davis
 
Good on everyone who's spoken so positively about the "Jurrahcane" - we've had some great comments on our own board from fans of different clubs in recent times about him too.

And he's got so much up-side to him as well... the signs are very exciting indeed.
 
No youtube at work so can't find it for you, but Leon Davis won it last week beating his opponents and kicking a ripper from the boundary.

Really enjoy watching Jurrah play, credit to Melbourne for giving him a crack.

I'll be predictably biased in a Bigfooty kinda way, but if this was judged on sheer weight of numbers, Leon would win hands down. He's kicking multiple ridiculous goals almost every week at the moment.

But it doesn't work that way, and Lloyd's "interesting" win proved that it's too tough to call. In any case, there are some very entertaining players going around at the moment. Any of them could win it, so I'm happy to just enjoy the show.

Hmm I'm not sure Rioli is a whole level of "extraordinary" above Jurrah.

There are somethings Jurrah will be able to do that Rioli won't due to his height and insane leap whilst the same could be said about Rioli particularly with his abillity to push into the midfield and get out of tight contested situations. Leigh Matthews said Jurrah was the most naturally talented footballer he had ever seen, not a bad appraisal I would have thought.

There just about my two favourite players in the league and I can't wait to watch their respective careers unfold further, two freaks of the game.
