Well, if you are 6'5" then you generally don't have enough tie to do all the windsor-related bullshit so the first one is the way to go.

I always tie a full Windsor knot on the rare occasion I am forced into a tie, they look so much better than a half Windsor. Half Windsors look scruffy.
