Lions smash Melbourne in important lead up game

It was 29 points, and it was the ease with which we did it. Daniel rich was at his future brownlow winning best, and Andrew raines dominated as a tagger, shutting down GWS Scully magnificently. This, without leuey, brown, drummond among many others.

Add Fev, Voss, Lynch, Aker, Lappin, Leppa and the Scott brothers and it was a very impressive win indeed

Jack Watts enjoyed the game though

so you admit the Brions are a team of ringpirates?
didn't even have the decency to save it for the changerooms

I've hit panic stations mate.

I mean with Frawley, Green, Davey, Trengove, Grimes, Garland, Jurrah, McKenzie, Bartram all best 22 players missing (including pretty much our whole backline:eek:) it looks like we have 0 room for improvement.
If you want to improve keep this spud in the reserves. Saw Judy first hand last week and he is absolutely hopeless. List clogging potato.

Garland, Bartram and McKenzie

They would be in your top 10 players.
Brisbane were missing several stars from their team. Brown, Drummond, Leui, Polec, Banfield, Harwood just to name a few. Much better players than the spuds you named.
3 spuds and a guy who hasn't even played an AFL game.

Yeah....well we still have the Kaspersky Cup, so suck on that! :p
It's only a meaningless NAB Challenge game, we didn't even get out of first gear, would rather see the team perform in the season proper (as long as they perform better than they have the past 4 seasons).

lol, OP getting all excited over winning a NAB cup against a sub-half strength side.

Holler at us from the bottom of the ladder when JB breaks down again and all of the Lions' aspirations of coming 15th or 16th go up in smoke.

Mate, we'll take what we can get. If you can't beat us without Browny you are pretenders.

In an all important, season defining hit out at the Rapedome yesterday, the Brisbane Lions smashed a disappointing Melbourne outfit, reports Duritz and everyone who knows what they are talking about.

The Lions were well undermanned, but with a virtual seconds side in managed to annihilate the Demons by 29 points, eased down.

This win augers badly for the cellar dweller Demons, who have tanked, cheated and cried poor to their members for many years now in a useless bid for success. That bid has landed them laughable jokes like Jack Watts, and mercenaries like future GWS captain Tom Scully. Yes, sad, isn't it.

Coach Dean Bailey may have said after the game that the Demons were "insipid, and in for a poor year based on today's game."

Victorious coach Michael Voss was pleases with the efforts of his baby Lions, as they continue their ascent into greatness.
