Lions win Brownlow!

Well if there was a team Brownlow Lions would have won it hands down. According to herald sun Lions polled a cumulative total of 101 votes 11 more than our grand final opponents & second highest vote polling team in Port Adelaide with 90 and St. Kilda also with 90.

Probably explains why it'll be hard for a Lions player to win a Brownlow in the near future given our quality in midfield across the board & also the emergance of Luke Power with 14 votes in previous years those votes would have gone to one of the other members of the fab four

Which is why I put $20 on Reiwoldt to win, Brisbane were always going to score well but across the board not really likely to have the individual winner....and my bet lost of course

Incidentally Fitzroy used to have the Haydn Bunton Trophy for the Fitzroy player that polled the most Brownlow Medal votes, which was seperate from the Best and Fairest Award.

Perhaps the Brisbane Lions could revive the Trophy for future years.
