If we lose Houston, Bergman and Butters over the next eighteen months then it's looking like Koch & co are not content with being:

bottom in the AWFL
bottom in the SANFL

Looks as though they are desperate for the trifecta.

What a totally inept football club we have become.

I do hope that one day somebody will be brave enough to write a book showing how disastrous David Koch has been for the PAFC.

I don’t think we will lose either Bergman or Butters. Houston seems likely though.

Not as good as ZT has been for us. We have won that trade up to this point.

A far better player than Dursma.

How zerk has performed for us is not the point really.

We couldn’t have known that for a fact when we did the trade.

If you sell a new car for half its value , buy an older car for over its value, but the older car turns out to have $10k hidden in the boot you’re not a shrewd businessman.

We had the contracted younger player who would have had interest from several clubs, Essendon had the older out of contract player who was only ever coming to port (wanted to come home, crows have key defenders and weren’t interested)


Getting a straight swap was piss weak, and zerk could win 5 all-Aus and it doesn’t change facts.

Reverse roles and Essendon would have bled us dry for the contracted player.


We should have made our stance and stuck to it.

Barrett almost immediately starts for us imo. His pressure and tackling is awesome. I'd say a trio of SPP, Rioli and Barrett next year would be something. He's decent around goals too

With a very strong showing in the recent month or so, the list itself is really starting to concretize many players of the 23 and there will be a fair amount of players who are on the outer with our recent good form who will be moved on from or stay only for the remainder of their contract.

There's always a way around it. As long as the football IQ is there, the body can adjust.

That said, going into the season with only 2 AFL ready rucks is a risk.

There are clubs in Victoria who will enquire about him as per what Cal Twomey mentioned in last weeks episode of Gettable.

He is on the radar of Vic clubs as they know Sweet and Visentini have gone past him at selection.
He will be more inclined going back to Melbourne than staying in Adelaide playing for the Crows.

is still not signed up beyond this year and a UFA. He is a WA boy so expect him to stay but maybe Freo will let him slip if they get Bolton. Quick agile 190cm forward who has played every game this year.

Ivan's injury history makes off loading him a tough ask though.

And we played McEntee 40+ times and dropped Georgiades last year. Sometimes clubs do dumb things.
