Lloyd Goal of the Year!! WTF???

I thought Davey and Fletcher both kicked better goals for us, but good to see the Champion get it. Was pretty damn good.
not sure his performance this year qualify him to wear the label "Champion" either. past champ I'll agree.

still nice to see the bomber get something from the wreckage this year. all it took was thousands of votes from the deluded and depressed

I reckon i could honestly say, of the 22 goals of the weeks that lloyds was the worst. He was about 2 metres out from goal hip-****ing-hip hooray, wat a hero, heres an idea, how about the whole commitee who picked his goal, plus the umpires, in fact how about everyone who works for anything to do with the afl, how bout they all go find lloydy, flop it out, and see how many of their little ***** they can fit

As for it being an average goal...most players would struggle to pull it off. In fact, most players would struggle to kick a drop kick to pass the ball under normal circumstances - certainly not being accurate with it. And the coaches tend to still frown down on doing droppies (almost as much as doing torpies)

Hmm cos Lloydy had to be really accurate, being one metre out straight in front and all ... would've been harder to miss that goal than kick it.

A champion is a champion. You don't stop being one. Plus, with over 60 goals coming back from a year out of the game, missed 3 games too, shit midfield and having to often play decoy for Lucas, I'd say he's still got it.

i think ablett jnr should have won it...... similar to the mark of leo barry in '05, it wasn't the most unbelievable mark however, in the context of the game it was awesome. I know that lloyd's was something special but it wasn't as good as weaving in and out of 3 players to put your team up by 1 point or whatever with 2 minutes to go... that goal was breathtaking i could just imagine what the feeling was like at skilled!!!

He aint a brain surgeon ok, hes a diving fairy who dropped the ball = holding the ball.

no he definitely is not a brain surgeon but then how many brain surgeons would have the football nous to be able to kick a goal like that!!

however, I agree while the goal was clever and instinctive it wasn't goal of the year.

I actually prefer Jonathon Browns from 50 meters out to tie up the scores in the dying seconds of the game.......not many could kick that goal with that sort of pressure on you.

as much as i hate lloyd if you look at it from a degree of difficult and execution point of view it was the second best goal of the year

the superior internet savvy of bombers fans would have then got him over the line from motlop

No mention of him having been surrounded the Blues defenders at the same time. Truly under pressure. If anything the Blues need more blokes on the goal line to stop it!

He might be have been 1 metre out from goal..but, his back was turned - so factor that in too.

Since when was being surround by Carlton players considered pressure?

Idiotic decision.
