Andrew Mapelson who is that?

been living under a rock hilly or just extremely ignorant? mapleson coached bell park for a number of years in the late 90's, making way for ken hinkley and then coaching again for a year in 2004 when the club infamously gave hinkleys replacement the boot after 2 months. he took the reigns a few weeks before the start of the season and took the dragons to a preliminary final where they lost to eventual premiers st marys. he also coached the gfl interleague this year and has been involved with that for a number of years. a good aquisition for the eagles...

Got a whisper for you whispers. It seems not only Fitzgerald is coming over to the dragons from Joeys next year, word has it a few off their rising stars are coming with him to make Bell Parks list even stronger. I.e. Luke (Tom Cruise) Podbury.:thumbsu:

Played against this guy this season, i think he was number 23?

Really good skills, seemed to find it pretty easily as well. Would be an inspired recruit for Bell Park if true. However, have heard he has a bad history with injuries, is this the case?

Be interested to hear C7'S thoughts on this? My mail is that he'll stay at Joeys and hasn't been approached by anyone from the Dragon's!

if he were to find his way to hamlyn park i think he would find his beloved #23 is out of the question...

has had a shocking run with injuries over the years including a torrid bout with the dreaded osteitis pubis. had big wraps on him as a junior b4 the injuries and just started getting back into it last yr in the 2's. could 2007 be the breakthrough year for st joeys own velvet sledgehammer? all signs point to yes!

Word from the horses mouth Rocky. He is coming. No wonder he continues to get Osteiotis as his Tom Cruise looks are getting the job done with the women. Think he should be posting on the Eureka Back Bar thread!:thumbsu:

Word going around that Ammos are set to lose a few of their 'young guns' ie. Clark, Mountjoy, Westwood brothers. Can anyone shed some light on these speculations?

If you mean Sam Clarke, my mail is that he has signed to play another season at Ammo's. Would'v thought he would come to the GFL and test himself at a higher standard, I mean we've already seen what he can do to the BFL! As for the rest I don't know, but I do know they are considering different options.

Are you suggesting rocky that sam clark would struggle in the higher standard of the GFL and the easy opion for him would be to stay put?

Sam Clarke is a quality player and i think any team in the GFL would love to have him. Would be great to see him next to a Greaves, Mensch or Saunders and taking the second or third best defender, would kick between 50 and 65 goals.

Not sure about 65 goals... Its not often you see that amount kicked by a medium sized forward. Would be damaging in any forward line! Was talk him going to Lara if Jimmy Allen played but I think Jimmy is going to the SANFL next year...

No not at all C7, if it sounded that way it was not intended.

The point I was trying to convey was that he ripped the BFL a new one this year and I believe he would have the ability to do likewise in the GFL, however this time against a higher standard of opposition.

Good to see he has significant loyalty to stay at his home club though, a quality that seems to be disappearing with the big clubs throwing around their bags of cash.

also whispers, i reckon clark would reach the 65-70 goal mark in the GFL.

Rocky.. Tim McLean (69) was the only player to kick that amount of goals this year. Can you honestly say that Clark could become the leading goal kicker the GFL??

I agree with Whispers he might get a few bags of four or five but he wouldn't get his big bags of ten - twelve against weak sides such as Portarlington in the GFL. But would be good to see how he would go. St Marys have been speaking to him also

Bell park must be offering the dollars if they are attaching all these players.... is there much money down that way...
