Any news on anything for St Albans?
My mail has it that Andy Allthorpe who coached Bell Park's U18's to 3 straight flags is the front runner for the St Albans job. He has agreed to some sort of role with Bell Park Seniors however has it in his contract that he can leave if he gets a senior coaching gig.
St Albans are extremely keen to get him as it is understood that Sam Loftus would go with Allthorpe. Allthope was best man at Loftus' wedding.

Will be interesting to see what happens in the next week.

Surely not the same Sheedy who coached Bannockburn last year.

One of my mates msged me last night saying that he had signed last night. Im not sure if he will attract any players from Banno or Newtown though... maybe a couple.

Also Frank Fopiani has been replaced by Daniel Fletcher, with former Geelong/Carlton/Richmond player Simon Fletcher to play with his brother at St. Mary's next year.

Why does it take so long for the Addy to write about coaching appointments... I posted this 2 weeks ago!

Rocky.. Tim McLean (69) was the only player to kick that amount of goals this year. Can you honestly say that Clark could become the leading goal kicker the GFL??
Having played a fair bit with both Sam and Tim i can honestly say that Sam is a better player than Tim Mclean especially as a goal kicking forward. And thats nothing against Tim who is a great player. Sam is a freak but very loyal and has a lot of mates at Ammos. Would be surprised if he left but could understand if he did. He would be on at least 3 or 4 hundred at Ammos. So i dont think money would be an issue.

Word going around that Ammos are set to lose a few of their 'young guns' ie. Clark, Mountjoy, Westwood brothers. Can anyone shed some light on these speculations?

Where is Mountjoy going?

heard that fair chance Jay Bett is to return after a stint in the country...any one heard this one?

can anyone fill me in on the latest from leopold? mastin coaching again? and any new arrivals/departures?

also heard a few whispers newcomb may lose a few players over the summer... and although he is halfway thru a 5 year deal the coach offered to step down if the club thought they could get someone better

The latest out of Torquay is that the coach has been sacked.
A bit of strife went down that is now in the hands of the law enforcement.

Once again you heard it hear first. Wild John announced the Newtown coaching position first and now the scoop on the Tigers.

Leopold - yes Mastin retained as coach, with Paul Lynch to join the 'Pold as a goal kicking forward......will bring/or is trying to bring 2 youngsters from Port (Paul Davis & Steve Hicks).

St Albans - I'd be very surprised if they'd entain the thought of appointing Allthorpe, from what I've heard they are after someone with a high profile to attract some players !!!!

Also, very interesting about Torquay.......opens the way for that rumoured move to BPH for the big 'Scrotumsak'.

Sam Clark is going no where.

He spoke to Lara and Geelong invited him down as well. Declined both offers.

He is staying at Ammos.

Yeah I know Hulkster.. I know his not going anywhere... Just tried t ogenerate some discussion in this thread and maybe some new posters... It was getting a bit boring...

Tell you the truth, Clark and Mountjoy are going no where (not that I have heard) and Jarrod Westwood is talking with St. Marys and Josh has been approached by St. Joeys.

Just heard it on K-Rock that Wade Chapman and Billy Nichols are heading down to Drysdale to coach and assistant respectively, Paul Lynch signed with Leopold and Skrobalak got the sack from Torquay... Was this is the paper today or does someone read Big Footy from K-Rock?

No probs Whispers.

I wouldnt be surprised to see Jarrod Westwood go to St Marys. As for Josh i think he would struggle to get a game for Joeys 1st's. He still needs a couple of years at senior level, he is too small, but can play.
