I don't think it's meant to be anything. The font family looks to be very close to Target Book and i think they've just stylised it a little


I wonder if it's their own custom font and they've borrowed elements (like the bizarre looking g)

Most of the cost of changing a logo is the physically changing of the logo, not the design.
