Sporting masochist
Not to mention that it doesn't even tie in with a sporting event, nor sport in general! That musical note is too simple and has been overused! Same can be said for the gear, for that matter.

Surely you could just sharpen the original?
One stands out more than the other.
The other is just bland and boring.
That's one GIANT logo!Ummmm, haven't we seen this before?
Surprised this one hasn't found it's way here yet ...
Apparently they're already reconsidering it after some significant social media backlash.
The illustration itself is good, but it's completely soulless for a club with about 100 years of history.
That said, their current one is a complete pile a crap, and I'd prefer the new one.
I'm pretty sure that's the AFLW logo so it has probably just changed for the start of the Women's season.Interestingly, Carlton has changed their profile pictures on Facebook and Instagram from the logo to this.
Probably trying to advertise our new jumpers as Nike have introduced the shading as seen below or maybe its for something else...

Argh, I can't figure out why I've seen this associated with Werribee.
Side note: how sad is it that this grandstand is going down?
Social club looked pretty unique too.
Saw this in my twitter feed and thought I’d share it here. I have no affiliation with this club.
For more context to the other, non-Carlton board folk, he created that because he thought the current wreathed logo with the modernised monogram from the 2010s has run its course.Someone on the Carlton board made this. Thoughts? View attachment 459875
The Carlton logo as a whole shouldn't ever change, just update the monogram to match the one on the jumperFor more context to the other, non-Carlton board folk, he created that because he thought the current wreathed logo with the modernised monogram from the 2010s has run its course.
Which I completely disagree with (as you know, of course ) but it's definitely not the worst design.
It just doesn't work though, it doesn't quite fit.The Carlton logo as a whole shouldn't ever change, just update the monogram to match the one on the jumper
I agree. I found this monogram on google a while back... have no idea who created it but I’d love to see Carlton go in this direction.

They don't need to change a thing about the monogram on their logo, it's iconic and they've used more or less the same one for decades. I think they would have started using it on their guernseys a lot earlier if technology allowed.I agree.
