Looks like Jack Cahill has had enough at South..

Jack walked out (not sacked).
He did so claiming that there was too much interference in the coaching from outside influences (including the President/Chairman) etc...
Funny thing is, this is exactly what the report in 2007 claimed to be what the problem down South was. The board decided to ignore that and sack the coach instead (hey who wants to accept some of the blame themselves??!)
Interestingly, the 2007 coach is still yet to be paid a single cent after being sacked (despite a contract for 2008 as well) and this is still in the courts.
If there isn't a mutiny and blood spilled at South then there mustn't be any South supporters left!
What an absolute rabble that place is, it makes Fremantle look succesful and well run!

Players are speachless!!! No one saw it coming.......their all bemused and upset. I'm not exactly sure what went down but i'm getting BOARD!!!!!!!!

Must have been a huge decision for Jack, he's not a quitter and was doing wonders with the young lads. The guys really liked him.

Enjoy your golf Jack and all the best. ;)

The funniest part of all is who they have now installed as their coach!!
When Pyman was sacked the club claimed to need an experienced and succesful coach to change the culture of the club. Instead they now have Clay Sampson as coach - a man with zero coaching experience and a person many suspect was responsible for knifing Pyman.
Great work Panthers!
Ha ha ha ha ha ha

Merge South with the Bays.
Gets rid of a crap club, and gives SANFL a desirable 8 team comp.

We've struggled enough over the years on our own, and now when we've finally got our shit together as a club you want add them to the mix?

I'd be voting against it if it came up.

What a disgraceful club South is.
A fantastic coach, person a man of years of football experience comes back to where it started and gets treated so badly, that he walks.
What a rabble South is. Do they even have any fans left?
If you can't work as a club with Jack at the helm, then you have zero chance.

Jack would only walk if he felt he couldn't possibly continue.
How can a club treat an SANFL legend that way, and expect to be taken seriously??

South are the laughing stock of the SANFL.
As they have been for many years.

Luckily for Norwood it takes some heat off their underachieving over the last few years.

Only if the combined club is called Glenelg, has a mascot of a tiger, wears Black & Gold and plays home games at Brighton Road. Otherwise, not thanks.

If Ian Day isn't available what about Skender Dikoli only the dedicated South fan would recall him from the late 70's. Ronnie Hateley, " Darls ", Alfie Skuse, Mark Coombe, David Young, Lindsay Backman probably meet the criteria of " prodigal sons ". Given the recent record of coaches at Noarlunga how long will Clay Sampson last???....

The boys at sth are 100% behind Clay Sampson and just want to get on with playing footy. They are sick of the negative public and media attention and want to get on with the season.

Good luck Clay it'll be a tough gig, will show a great show of character to be able to pick up the peices and put the jigsaw back together again. This is when South need their supporters the most.....those that havent already spat it and thrown their hands in the air.

There a great group of players and WILL pull together! Interesting rest of season ahead.

No thanks, we've just got rid of board members, in the last few years, who just can't let the coach do their job and assess the result at the end of the year/contract, don't want even a small chance of a return to that.
