Bloody oath,

My girlfriend hates him, but I reckon Aker is one of the jewels of the game, not only for his seeming inablility to utter those drone like player-cliches every time he opens his mouth, but also for his brand of football.

More feeling please.

Andy McLeod, after that dreadful performance against St. Kilda, whilst addressing the members after the game, described the teams performance as "sh.ithouse". It was, but it is a measure of how used to "well, they just played better, etc" that we've become that it was a major shock to hear it.

Cheers,

Kasey

That's a point.

Define a footballer speaking their mind.

A ten second soundbite on the nightly news about the team or the opposition's form or the storm in a tea cup issue of the week........

..........OR an interview that's serious in every sense of the word that goes for a bit?

The clubs are all mates and use their mouths to get bums on seats any way they can so with the dictaphone thrust into their face and some question that's boring and same old same old like 'what do you think of x's' form' or 'what team do you think would win the flag if the Grand Final was played tomorrow?' you'd have to expect that that is the pre-match entertainment starting then, days before the first bounce.
