I deliver parcels as a job, all over Melbourne & suburbs & beyond. It's part of the job to know business areas and addresses. Excusable to look up residential addresses, but you have to know your major roads. 99% of what I know now is from staring square-eyed into Melways as a child/adolescent.I rely on GPS. I bought one when they first came out as I am useless at navigating. My wife thinks she is good but I don't believe her.
I am not one who relied on the Gregory's to get around.
Drop me further away than three streets and I'll probably be unlikely to ever find my way home without using GPS.I deliver parcels as a job, all over Melbourne & suburbs & beyond. If I got abducted and chucked into a car boot (assuming you could find 7 people to lift me) within 100 km of Melbourne, upon forcing my way out I'd be home in a few hours.
Coffee could have its own thread. Can I stop to pause your busy lives to think about the people that use drive-thru coffee places. You know, for convenience. Line up for 10 minutes to pay $5 (that's a guess, never used one}, lining up for something you could have made at home in two minutes because "busy busy busy".
Jesus boomers!!Drop me further away than three streets and I'll probably be unlikely to ever find my way home without using GPS.
I've got one of those new GPS for old farts. Tells me how to get where I am going and when I get there reminds why I am there.Drop me further away than three streets and I'll probably be unlikely to ever find my way home without using GPS.

small square balers are the most frustrating bits of kit, the knotters always failing, round bales twine setups virtually foolproof.Neither have I. But this has triggered some long ago memories. I'm a tea drinker and there is nothing better to quench the thirst in hot weather like we are about to have, than hot, strong tea (made with proper leaves) with milk.
Always did the job, especially stacking small square bales of hay in a hayshed up near the roof, where you can barely breathe for the heat. Have a spell and a cup of tea and then you are ready to go again.

I had an echo show in the cupboard doing nothing so I thought, why not give it to my wife's mother to make video calls (she's in her 80s and she is a North supporter who has given oppo supporters heaps at games over the years). Anyway, that's all good, but I have only google hubs at my place, plus iPads.
Alexa and Google cannot video call each other, but the echo show can video call to an ipad so I figured I'd try that. I set up my wife's amazon account on an ipad and mine on my android phone to test. Issue #1 is that the better half's amazon account thinks she's in Japan and the Amazon app on the iPad has extra Japanese stuff, plus help is all in Japanese (I can get by - this is just annoying). Issue #2 is that my android phone can video call the ipad but the ipad cannot video or voice call my phone. I can't work out why - all of the communication and drop-in permissions are OK. In fact, not even text works.
I gave up on that and installed the amazon app on another ipad. With no change to any settings the comms worked in each direction - voice and video.
I'm just going to put that down to I hate amazon and also google a bit.
I'm going to assume the video calling between the ipad and echo show will work but I haven't set up an account for my mother in law yet. I'll do that tomorrow maybe.
Are there any Amazon experts here?
LudditeI have no idea what you just said.
