I remember reading on BF that apparently we rated Shuey the next best inside mid behind Rich? I can see why.

Is he a left footer or a right?

Had a chat with him last night hes a right footer.

People comparing him with Daniel Rich, you wont see Rich get much better then he is right now.

Shuey has much more poise and flair about him.

Eagles cleaned up the 2008 draft thats for sure.

Shuey is physically mature more so than Rich. I know Wisby for instance said he didn't use his pace enough and use his clear outside ability.

When Beams started getting game time i realized quickly why Rich fell to 7, with strong tall stocks he was easy to pass up given the plethora of elite midfielders the 2008 draft. :thumbsu:

No Shuey has always played that way since TAC Cup, he just didnt show much of that side of his game in the U18 Champs.

Good first hitout for him. My heart was in my mouth when he came off late in the game and looked in alot of trouble, was good to see him back on later in the game.

So glad it was nothing when he came off!!! Little gun, he is.

Also, now a member of the famous 'first kick, first goal' club. :)

Mr Shuey's stats will be more impressive when we play him where he should be.

In the Intra club at Basso, he walked up to Mr Sullivan at the break and told him where to place the ball. Exactly after an assistant coach said they would be moving him out of the middle. The look of utter disbelief and absolute confusion on his face was priceless

Its such a great sign that we can put him in a FP and unlike Masten, Ebert and Scooter we dont need to get 22 games in the guts out of him to be competetive. I rekon this way we can build his game time in the middle through the year and hopefully get 20 games from him this year.

Second picked in my SC after Ablett, I cant believe that some who have gone for the 4+ rookie mids still could not find room for him!
