Luke Shuey vs Patrick Dangerfield

Was thinking about these players after the NAB cup GF.

Dangerfield - Powerful, speedy on baller that can split packs and ferociously hunts the footy.

Shuey - Pacey, nimble, strong footballer with good skills and fantastic running ability.

Both are line breakers. Who will have the better career?

I agree. Shuey has shown MUCH more skill than Dangerfield, contributing alot to the wins they had last year, and winning something like 12+ brownlow votes. Besides being athletic, Dangerfield hasn't shown much to warrant the hype.

Dangerfield is a big powerful unit and can break games open if given the chance, but Shuey is a more complete player for mine. He's more consistent, has better skills, more pace and better awareness.

Haha, got me there. He was awful that day was young Shuey. Finals is a different ball game, brings pressure to a new level.

Not embarrassing at all. At the time, Shuey was definitely projecting higher.

In fairness, Shuey was more or less playing injured all year (in the games that he did play). Give him a clear run at a full season and he'll be at Dangerfield's level.
