Probably more of a case of them not knowing about it, rather than thinking it's not a big deal (which it isn't).

I think on Twitter Shuey also tweeted when he got off the plane something about 'home in Perth, thank god, had to sit next to Naitanui and Hams, the two serial pests'.

Yeah it's all harmless fun, people who kick up a stink about this type of stuff really have too much time on their hands

Also - I strongly doubt Shuey will win the Rising Star. Heppell (deserved or not) has had it in the bag since round 5 imo.
