Yeah fair. Entirely guesswork of course, but could be his wife got wind of an affair and was pissed enough to out it like this?
There's also daughters and servants, friends and other visitors, the family dog... plenty of potential scapegoats to save Lukey's "reputation"

Seems highly likely it was the wife that got wind of an affair and wanted to out them. Maybe in a pique.

Victoria police wouldn't be interested in pursuing a revenge pr0n charge against the wife given it all took place in Italy and even it was local the cops would need the victim (Luke) to make a statement saying it's his dick. So nothing in that.

The use of terminology saying 'compromised' instead of just saying 'hacked' seems weird to me.

A - He sent it, evidence showed it was sent by him but he's adamant it wasn't, so they just take his word and say it was somehow 'compromised'

B - Someone with access to his devices (Mrs) posted it
Yes I noted that too. Very careful language, 'hacked' would seem to have a very specific meaning that 'compromised' does not.

After a "thorough" investigation, the AFL have concluded that Luke Sayers account was accessed by someone else whom posted the picture. Hmmm, did we expect any other outcome?

AFL: Hi Luke, did you post a picture of your cock online?

Luke: Um, no. It was someone else.

AFL: Ok, that's good enough for us. All clear.
A 'fiercely independent' investigation by the AFL's Integrity Unit. Would put Columbo to shame. Andrew Dillon is not afraid to make the tough calls.

Here's another plausible version of the investigation.

AFL: "Hi Luke. Did you post a lewd image of yourself on X?".

Luke: "You don't need to see my X metadata".

AFL: "We don't need to see your X metadata".

Luke: "This isn't the flaccid c*ck you're looking for".

AFL: "This isn't the flaccid c*ck we're looking for".

Luke: "I can go about my business".

AFL: "You can go about your business".

Luke: "Move along ... ".

AFL: "Move along. Move along!".

Hard to know but that was my first thought. That or someone in her family/group that knows their way around social media.

Definitely was "hacked" by the wife, who found out about the affair. Now has a conflict of interest with one of Carlton's major sponsors and can no longer be pres - all makes sense...
According to media reports, BUPA have "pulled out" of their sponsorship deal with the Blues. Not the most elegant turn of phrase in this case ...

Wowee, I mean I've always thought he was as dodgey as , but, what on earth does this say about the AFL clearing him?
This is turning into just as big an embarrasment for the league as it is for Sayers.
No doubt, we can do without his type at the club but he was kind of getting things moving so I hope there is some sort of decent replacement. Never a dull moment at Carrrrrrrrrrrllllllton.
Because it's a negotiated agreement by the AFL and Sayers

AFL - We want you to step down and will.offer you the incentive of having an inquiry that clears you

It's classic AFL cynical outcome based justice
