If he can't spoil or keep up with a resting mid, who can he stop?
The water runner...oh wait!
Funnily enough, last year I remember thinking he was gonna be OK...WTF happened to him!

I still think it was the correct move to give him one last chance, given the information we had at the time, Rutten's retirement and Hartigan's injury, but he has not looked like he's improved anywhere near enough to make it. I think we can very comfortably delist the guy. No chance a trade will come up. He's still too light/weak over the ball in the air, and he still panics with the ball, or even when he needs to win a loose-ball.
I don't think the matchup argument is great. LT can't take tall or strong key forwards either. If he can't spoil or keep up with a resting mid, who can he stop?
That's the trouble with our line up.
Jaensch, Smith, Henderson would have all been disasters as well.
We don't have any good medium size defenders.
Thompson is a KPD and Ziebell is a midfielder.
This was Massie on Franklin 2.0. Ridiculous match up.
He will be on our list next year I think due to Ottos injury.

maybe I tad of an over reaction. We must have the softest back 6 in the AFL.
maybe I tad of an over reaction.
Rutten, Talia & Brown are not soft.Name a softer one. Laird is our hardest defender and he doesn't play there anymore.
we had an extremely disappointing narrow loss to the kangaroos who are a damn good side. Saying that doesn't mean I'm happy with the result. I am bitterly disappointed but do not believe for a second we have the softest defence in the league.Name a softer one. Laird is our hardest defender and he doesn't play there anymore.
Thompson, shaw, hartigan - all shit....
.....kidding right ?The one GOOD thing about actually playing him is that we now know and can make a proper list management decision. We can move forward. If we'd continued to just shuffle players like we usually do we wouldn't.
so it took 3 years to come to that conclusion .......this is a general comment, not aimed at you, but don't people actually watch players play ???Woeful performance. Delist on that effort just insipid didn't get close to spoiling any contest. Matchup was fine those are the guys he is suited to stand.
Hartigan worth persisting with IMO.
LT has not improved since 2012 - still way too soft and hesitant and clearly lacks core strength when he can get brushed aside by midfielders. He's been given an extended audition and failed. Time to move on.
Shaw unfortunately could have been a great player but injuries prevented him from ever getting any continuity.
.....kidding right ?
We knew before ......the club knew before .....that's why he has played so few games over 2 years
But you wanted to see a Ziebell performance .........well you got it, we lost the game and probably finals ......but hey we gave him a go .....just WOW
Harsh ....at #60 Siggins was always a project player, and two years doesn't = project playerBoth he and Lewis Johnston are not the answer in defence after today, neither have the intensity to succeed at AFL level, Hartigan and Jake Kelly are the 2 we will be keeping I hope. Siggins is increasingly looking unlikely to shape up either, not bulking up and getting beaten to easily by SANFL level forwards.
