Lets see now...

2012 final ladder results as follows...

Freo...North...Carlton...Essendon...played us in the final 9 rounds of the AFL season...
Freo...North...Carlton...Essendon...finished the 2012 AFL Season above us...

Luke McGuane played against Freo..........no goals...3 behinds...
Luke McGuane played against North........no goals...2 behinds...
Luke McGuane played against Carlton......1 goal......0 behinds...
Luke McGuane played against Essendon...2 goals....1 behind...
That's a pretty good improvement showing he's getting better at the position and losing the nerves

I re-watched the last quarter of the Essendon game to see a bit more Arnott but whilst watching I noticed McGuane did some very nice things that may not count on the stats sheet... However Jackson was putrid and too slow reckon he is a liability if we play him but as for McGuane thumbs up!

15 goals in 9 games is a good return. Did he play forward everytime? I cant remember?

The reality is thats 36 goals a season, which is exactly the forward we lacked last year. Putting up Miller v Mcguane and i think Mcguane could have made us a better side at the start of the year with forward pressure while offering as much going forward as Miller. that forward pressure may have been the difference in west coast and geelong games

Mcguane worked hard all game and did 10 times what Hack did. That tackle cemented his spot in the forward set up for the rest of the season. On track for 44 goals.
