not only this, but penalty sliders as well. in madden, raising the defensive pass interference sliders will actually make the defense play more conservative, like they are afraid of a flag being thrown. lowering it would make them come after the ball when it's thrown like madden. there's a sweet spot. youll probably just never get many offensive PI calls, but if you lower that slider enough and raise the defensive PI, you could actually make offensive players go after the ball aggressively, how the defense does.

Make yourself call more than just your trusty go-to plays. I used the coach suggested plays anyway, but… Your playbook has hundreds of plays in it. Use them. You’re only going to get about 50-60 plays with this 10-minute/20 second runoff setup. Don’t run the same 5 non-stop.

There is one slider that is backwards to what one would think, that is the injury slider. Set it higher for fewer and lower for more injuries.

QB ACC: Really doesn't seem to show much differentiation until you go below 10. That's about the threshold for seeing errant throws

Pass Reaction Time: This slider is likely backwards. Turning the slider lower appears to improve the reaction time of defenders when a WR makes a cut. The easiest way to see this is to pick man coverage versus a comeback route. With the slider is set lower, the defender will stop and turn a split second after the WR makes his break on the route. When set higher, the defender takes longer to react to the cut and the WR has greater separation. This test can work with outs and hitches as well. Ins are odd in that much of the time, defenders will break on these routes very quickly as opposed to outs or comebacks. Not sure if this slider affects zone coverage, and if it does, not sure what to look for.

Yes, in main screen profile settings, might also be in your franchise settings, but definitely in main franchise settings. Also, when you are about to play a game, matchup screen, where you choose which uniform you want, you can choose which playbook too.

You can also create your own custom playbooks, save them by a name, and then in main menu profile settings elect to use custom playbooks

Lot of slider changes for next week incoming. But plan to test some things I learned before deciding if its true or not.

Also learned that importing sliders from your main menu into franchise is much different (better) than inside franchise adjusting sliders (worse) as far as gameplay and effectiveness.

Why change so many? The game is playing well, only thing that truly needs tinkering is the penalties.

Yeah importing sliders into your franchise is a must and it doesn't hurt to reset them every now and then as well if things are looking glitchy

His offensive holding call slider is bit too much, pretty much gets called every three to five plays but can slide it down a little bit and shouldn’t be too bad.

But i like my slider set more than matt and others, think ive got it where you double or halve the cpus on all madden.

Just penalties to fix and some adjustment to a couple others. Example....they say the setting for injuries, fumbles and pass reaction is actually reverse...the higher the fumble setting the more fumbles, the lower reaction the better....so flipping it for human/cpu....and the lower injuries setting the more injuries you get....plus testing speed disparity to test....plus the idea the lower facemask the more cpu tries to wrap tackle, and the lower DPI means dbs are more aggressive they are at the ball.....just these kinds of things i want to test to see if true and come up with my own idea of balance/realism

How shit is EA as a company tho. For over twenty years they have sliders but have never released an actual FAQ what they do, whether theyre reverse, how they affect gameplay, what combinations affect different things, etc. like, theres even a theory the speed disparity does very little 0-100 and actually affects more the cpus pass completion percentage.

I dunno, seems to be a lot of theories and urban myths.
