Offensive holding needs to be adjusted.

Game was almost unplayable. Probably 15+ penalties in that game. All except 1 were for holding. I declined 4 of them too

Yeah I was playing exhibition games with those sliders for about a month now and there is a lot of holding calls so probably tweak it down a little bit.
It's crazy how +5 there can make such a huge difference but in other areas you need to do +/- 20 or more to get a slight difference

Seahawks 17 defeated by Packers 44

Seahawks was ambushed at home with Love having a great game to keep their playoff hopes alive.

G.Smith 137 passing yards, 1 passing TD and 1 interception
K.Walker 180 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD

J.Love 302 passing yards and 4 passing TDs
C.Watson 99 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs

Won my matchup by around 17ish points (I am typing this on my phone away from my PS5 not aware of the score). Minshew threw two pick 6s in the first half otherwise it would not have been anywhere near as close. Had a few fumble recoveries on D which turned the game and a pick 6 of my own.

Week advanced.

Sliders adjusted dramatically (see below)....but I figured a few things out with the sliders. Explain next post.

So what i figured out....

The sliders affect the types of animations and/or style of play that you get. Example....with facemask penalties low, the cpu defenders will feel more confident going for the standard tackle, arm/wrap tackles, and so you shouldnt see thundering hit sticks from them all the time.

Likewise....a problem i saw was how the cpu seldom ran the ball. So bumping up their run blocking a lot (whilst reducing the effectiveness of their QB and WRs) that will encourage the cpu to run the ball often, try to have a balanced offense even when down two scores in the 3rd qtt, say.

Reducing cpu QB accuracy (and pass blocking, wr catching) will also make the cpu feel less confident to bomb away with those BS 70 yard TDs. It will make it more circumspect, looking for the shorter passes to move the chains)....of course tho in my testing the cpu still pulled BS out of its ass converting 3rd and 21s regularly....tho at least with the human reaction time and pass coverage so high, it meant the cpu wrs didnt just get behind the defense so easily and run away for 70 yards every time. Instead the human DBs would keep pace with them and tackle them immediately if they did get in behind.

Human run blocking down too because it was a little too easy to run the ball for 4-7 yards per rush. Having more 0-3 yard gains helps keep us humans circumspect too. This might come down even more in future depending how you run game madmen go with these sliders.

Cpu pass reaction time and pass coverage down so low still means the cpu defense is a beast tho, not easy just connecting with every pass. The cpu cheats so much that you have to reduce their sliders down so low just to get a slight change because it still cheats so much....but here it SEEMS to feel about right where you have to work at it.

Human/cpu interceptions down to 15 i found is looking better....the DBs are swatting the balls more than catching them, and often you still get them dropping simpler INTs as per real life, but INTs still happen...one or two per game.

And so on

Ready to advance.

56-0, 8 drives, 8 touchdowns on offense. Pretty much the perfect game execution wise. Gave up one drive late in the first half where they crossed midfield and entered field goal range but I forced and recovered a fumble, then they never looked like scoring thereafter.

2 more games to get through and then the stakes will be turned up a little bit.

Your uber skills are showing up my sliders as useless.

I think ill have to cook up sliders just for you :p

Well the last 2 games prior to that I had to work a bit because I was finding it more difficult. But the last game I just played perfectly - and I believe if I play a perfect game, it's very hard to beat me irrespective of the sliders and/or opponent.

Sure. Thats cool. Im just trying to find a style of play that would most resemble a real life game....you drive and stall, they drive and stall, you drive for a FG, etc, type thing. But not like 70 yard TDs in one or two downs every drive type crap from either team

Yeah you want to minimise the easiness of the big plays on offense.

But I reckon there are half a dozen or so plays on offense which are a guaranteed success irrespective of both the coverage run by the CPU and the game sliders.

Have you tried these yet? It's what I use each year & make some minor adjustments as I go, the guy knows his stuff.

Yeah used them last two weeks (a couple little differences) and now we're/I'm trialing something else.

The cpu all-madden is just ridiculous tho. Trying to find that balance where its hard for humans but also hard for cpu, so you get a good even battle, not 20 sec TDs every play from both teams.

Like Chewy said tho, there are certain plays that break the cpu on O and D and so the sliders wont ever change that.

Personally, just looking for a realistic game, not cpu BS but tough(er) for humans.

Maybe i might even just reduce human to near zero and cpu to near max just to force us all to lose our games :p
