Played a little last night for testing (doing things like a preseason game) and i really really believe these sliders are the one.....drives stalled, cpu and human qbs were erratic under pressure, wrs dropped some passes, dbs dropped some ints, dbs went for the swat most of the time, cpu tried running the ball still, even holding penalties down to max two in the game, one each side.....the only issue was kicking was weird....for some reason missed two easy PATs with bear max power and perfect accuracy -- the ball didnt even make the crossbar....yet i kicked a 57 yard fg with room to spare....not sure how kicking accuracy being is causing this.....given it should just mean the needle on the meter moves much faster, thats all. So i quickly bumped kick/punt accuracy up to 30 for further assessing tonight when i have time to **** around.

Didnt register the result because i was just ****ing around testing stuff. But it seemed great, it was something like 17-17 in the 3rd vs Chiefs with realistic stats across the board too.

The Chiefs are the computer cheat code - they always play well irrespective of sliders. My toughest CPU games are always vs the Chiefs - Mahomes goes into God mode and it turns into a shootout.

Let's see how the sliders go the next few games before making any changes. 1 game week is too little a sample size.

Yeah good point to hive a larger sample size. I actually feel like I may have nailed it finally with these sliders....just the kicking accuracy to assess (offline game i think best for that moving forward)

Hopefully these sliders are a bit more of a challenge 😂
Well, you'll break them, theyre not designed for elite maddeners looking for a challenge, but more for a realistic type of game, drive by drive, swats, etc played straight up

Yeah I was saying to my wife last night I've been playing Madden for 25 years (first edition I played was Madden 2000 on the PlayStation) and have played every version of Madden since Madden 04 on the latest model of the PS at the time the game was released, so it's not as if I've suddenly picked this game up overnight.

I wish they would bring NFL Head Coach back. That game had a lot of potential, would be more suited to a PC style game though.

The only good challenge one can fet is playing other humans. Nothing beats online play -- madden, fiffa -- iron sharpening iron

62-3 final score - though Davante Adams is injured. Fortunately he will only be out one game as I have the bye in the first week of the playoffs.

Feel like I've got a good balance going particularly on offense, but it is still a bit of a guess until the playoffs start and I'm going up against a user rather than the CPU.

Ready to advance.

Steelers 42
Chiefs 28

Steelers were cruising at something like 35-14 and then the typical bullshit refs started calling holds and blocks in the back on converted third downs to force punts. Mahomes with some bullshit moves and fakes while throwing, and receivers breaking countless tackles, hit sticking defenders to force TDs, and then a bullshit fumble by Fields returned by a very slow D lineman for 40+ yards, lumbering along, yet none of my players could catch up....all this forced it to 35-28, but then Steelers wrapped it up with a late TD.

Pickens 300 or so yards and 4 or so TDs broke the Chiefs backs. One beautiful long ball that he got in behind and hauled in. The rest short shit due to good pass coverage.

Most effed up game I've played this year. I had more than 10 penalties, it was absolutely ridiculous. Multiple roughing the passer penalties, blocks in the back, holding calls, offsides on D. You name it, I was penalised for it. At one point there was like 15 penalties in 20 odd plays (some were on the opposition). There were also a ton of drops, and I fumbled it at the goal line which was annoying.

I don't think it's the sliders because the sliders have been good for the most part - every now and then the CPU just puts together a game that is incredibly bizarre and makes you have a ton of mistakes. This was that game. I even gave up a touchdown on a 3rd and 16 where 3 of my players just stopped moving which meant the receiver walked into the end zone rather than being tackled before the line to gain. And this was the "fatigue" game where half my D Line spent significant time on the bench due to cumulative fatigue over the course of the season.

And to top it all off, my starting RB Zamir White is out for the season with a dislocated ankle.

Just glad this game was week 18 and not a playoff game.

And you probably still won like 40-7 I guess?

34-17 I think.

Was 17-17 late in the first half, then I got a field goal at the end of the half to go up 20-17.

Then kept them to a shutout in the second half.
