Gee I’m a fan of, she has a heap of talent although she has been inconsistent over her career so far, just starting to fill out coming from such a light weight but she now looks considerably stronger and has the smarts to play in a number of positions imo, forward wing and roll throughout the midfield, her best footy is in front of her, has plenty of upside if she can find a good level of consistency…
Unfortunately she will be a BIG loss…

Time for young McEvoy to step up into the midfield along with Mimi Guerin & McKay, Sherar gets more time and opportunity in there, I’d like to see Courtney Jones trialed throughout there as well think she has midfield qualities…

We certainly need list wise another couple of quality young mids as well as tall forwards & small forwards , let’s hope we can get compensated fairly and get into the pointy end of the draft for Maddy with a quality draft pick…

Reset, hit the draft get some quality young ladies in, build from within…
Got some good young players coming through just got to keep developing them and keep adding to the necassary positions the list requires…

You haven't been around many football clubs then if you don't think they are all interlinked with each other.

Two netballers get the shits on with each other and if their partners play football there it can impact both teams.

Been around footy clubs my whole life - including those with and without womens teams. But hey, ignorance is bliss.

Bulldogs were pretty close to losing a couple others this season but that powers that be listened to their feedback and pitched how they will establish cultural change.

There's a divide in the team, some of the younger players aren't/weren't enamoured with Harf but some of the younger players were also VERY naughty.
But yeah the board and admin aren't keeping up with the times

Now that the emotion and bitterness has mostly escaped them, can you really blame any of the players for taking a significantly higher amount of money that other/expansion clubs could pay them than us?

The whole system/AFL is mostly to blame, this will be their prime earning capacity as professional player(s)

Prespakis & Gee need to make sure the door doesn't hit them on the way out.

The club will always be bigger than the individual & the Navy Blue jumper will always be the best.

Not enough talent to fill 18 teams, we were always going to lose players. Gutted that it’s these two though. Only one worse would be Moods in my opinion.
Can’t blame them for chasing dollars; keep getting them cheques while you can, ladies. Best wishes.

One of the main reasons I can't bring myself to invest emotionally in the AFLW. Maybe in 10 years when the comp is fully fleshed out and stable, things will improve, but as it stands it feels like you're supporting a different team every season.

Flow on effects for the standard of play too, because how can teams improve strategically when the turnover is so high, especially amongst the top tier - exacerbated by them being part time athletes. Want to improve connection between defense and mid, mid and forward? Good luck. Basically have to hope that a few elite players can carry us.

Only 3 grand final appearances have been made by VIC sides and we have one of them. Our players have been continually poached for more money than we can reasonably offer. Program is doing fine.
