Im pretty sure this has been done before but I thought I'd create some interaction with everyone else on here;

If you've made the team, then you must be a prolific poster who stands out. So well done!

FB - FuManchu, vinnie_vegas69,Tess
HB - The Majestic, Royal Sampler, mydarlingclementine
C - sirlothie, Snag Breac, Optimax
HF - Tarkyn_24, Zeke, Magnus the Magpie
FF - MagpieGirl_13, Murray, daics cousin
R - MarkT, Jabso, nick_savo

INT - didaka, Dazman, Dale Didak #134, bradrowe#32.

EMERG. - ScottyD, Ron, Bay Pie.

Backline: That is a remarkable defensive unit which would have to be unbeatable. 6 players which you would NOT want to try and out-do in any scuffle. Great back 6 in my opinion.

Midfield: A suprise to some that SB was named in the centre, but just like Marty Clarke, the upside of this poster is sky-high with the ability/talent and intelligence to lift the rest of the team to bigger levels. I have plenty of faith in the rest of that midfield to go all day and really push the team forward, as well as get back to defend. I HAD TO give MarkT the ruck role, with just his desire to improve that position enough to make him the best ruckman in the competition. This midfield is filled with both class and old fashion grunt.

Forwardline: A good mix of inexperience and maturity. The younger posters on this forward line have shown plenty of potential and are still learning their craft up forward before their potential move into the midfield... or fall of the rails and dropped. Its in their hands, and have beaten a few others into the team. The spine of Zeke and Murray provides plenty of experience and talent with plenty of both flair and tradition in those two. Great attacking unit.

Bench & Emergencies: To those 7. You could've slotted into a fair few positions on that field, and consider yourselves very unlucky. Eg. a few would be better midfielders then some of the forwards, but your craft isn't as a forward, which is why you've missed out, but taking nothing away from you guys. This bench shows that, just like Collingwood, the Magpie Board footy side as very good depth, with plenty of names in the reserves that haven't even been mentioned.

For those that haven't made the team, take it as no disrespect, as this was done at almost 1am, without really breaking down every member and thinking about it for 2-3 months. Its a spur of the moment sort of fun thing.

So for the rest of the posters, make a team of your own, and comment about the others on here.

Its your opportunity to say what you think of other posters and what you think are the styles of posts that others on here use in regards to the mighty Maggies.

I just like leading to Zek's lightening passes.
Makes life so much easier.

Having Mark there Rucking is great - he tells everyone what they are doing wrong.
TFT is hotpies so he should be in the team.

Tess won't get a kick, she will be too busy abusing Eddie, The Coach, Gary Pert, The Supporters and Water Boys

Hooray !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I made the team.
For that i will pledge to kick 200 goals this season.
Go pie boys and girls.

After being an uncoordinated clutz for my whole life, I've made a team at last!!!!!! :) Feel like an 18-year old at the National Draft.

Does this mean I get a $200,000 contract, free designer clothing:eek: and my own buddy reporter? If so I'm hoping that you'll cover my performances, PieLebo, or failing that, Pie Eyed.

One serious omission....Thatday should at least be on the rookie list. He's a well-articulated, consistent poster, who loves to go in for a tackle and usually comes away with the ball. And it's a shame that the MrFabulous manifestation was delisted. He could wear down most opposition and would never, ever give up.

Can't see any goals being kicked against us with that backline. There's a sort of karma to MarkT getting the ruck. We'll expect great things.

So - just to be clear - we midfielders would ideally be passing the ball to our forwards, would we? Or do we have to do clearances first? Or is that a function of MarkT's trio? And am I an in-and-under? Or is that the same thing? Or could it be argued that a player could potentially go in and under anywhere on the field? And can you grab people anywhere bar the head/neck region? Is it permissible to trip people up if they've got the ball?

Now I don't want to be hamstrung by the problem of transferring my considerable skills from the Gaelic to the Aussie game; so how far can I run with the ball exactly? Actually, there's no point in telling me that, I've never been able to judge distance. Let me ask rather, for how long may I retain the ball as I shoot up the field (would you prefer wings or corridor?) and deliver it to Murray in the first instance?

I imagine MagpieGirl will play much in the style of Dale Thomas. She already has the golden locks.

Well, I'm starting my pre-season training today - cutting myself right down to only half a bar of chocolate. :thumbsu: At least I'll never do a groin.:D

First of all - I should be the rover next to jabso, as we're the ones who follow everything on the board.

Second, Tess should be at full forward. Given how offensive she tends to be, it doesn't make sense to put her in defense.

Also, I call Captain-Coach ;)
