I saw a bit of it on Twitter.

Is this what they pay journalists at the HS to write? Where do I sign up? Most bullshit job ever.

And the front section of their website which is where most people read their crap because no one is willing to buy it anymore.

I only get to read it online and I assumed it was the lead story, probably backpage, and thought it very funny from the boys and why would the HS report that?? If it was in the confidential section I guess....

I think it is something they should do throughout the year to keep the media thinking we are falling apart. Have a few of the boys with predetermined scripts to follow and send them wild!!

Haha.:D

Have to laugh at anyone who has actually taken any of this seriously, it was a group of mates having fun with each other.

I can almost guarantee that at least 2 of the players involved were actually sitting next to each other (either at Westpac Centre or on Mobiles), because it had that "we're bored" kind of feeling about it.

Was hilarious stuff, hope to see more of it, even during the season, and it's absolutely awesome that all 3 of the GWS's main targets were involved, showing that they are "mates", and not just team mates.:)

Nick just posted this too;

I love Maxy. Stick it up 'em

In the HUN's defence, they DID mention it was in jest.
Yeah, the "laugh" is more at those that have taken it seriously, like a few on Twitter, and at least one comment below the story on the website.

The Herald Sun did open with "if this wasn't in jest then it would be a problem", or something similar to that, so anyone who took this whole saga seriously is really laugh worthy on a major scale.:D

This. When I went on Twitter and read all those comments by the fans, I lold. FFS how could anyone take this seriously.

I wonder if we'll see a story in that pathetic paper about "clarkys" tweet today..

"ClarkyHeraldSun Jay Clark
One of the AFL's saddest and darkest days since Troy Broadbridge's death in 04. Consequences of this sort of behaviour can be tragic"

(re St. Kilda's latest scandal)

Yeah I don't think he thought that one through.

To be fair, we all know what he meant....
Damn this PC these days!!!
Won't be able to wipe my arse without offending someone one soon....

No but the point is, if anyone else tweeted this, that scummy newspaper would be all over it. Disgusting newspaper with terrible "journalists".

Besides, it was offending imo.

Yeh I certainly don't think this is an issue of P.C at all, it's an issue of not being an insensetive jerk. To even compare the too to begin with is stupidity of the highest order, even in conversation. To compare the two in such a public forum may not be offensive but it is downright stupid and insensitive.

The above point is completely valid too, if a player or member of the AFL admin had tweeted it the Sun would go to ever lengths to contact and try and get statements from all concerned to milk it for all it is worth.

I think public figures almost need a twitter filter or twitter editor
