YeoShuey think you need an SSP addition![]()
Pretty sure Harry Cunningham wasn’t taken, closest to like for like.I agree.
WalshistheGOAT The Old Dark Navy's Mind if I have another pick due to the Newman news?
Or we judging based on talent and not actual season? I don't want to be judged because he is "injured"![]()

Yeah, but I'd feel incredibly ripped off here either way.
I will probably just leave it and take the L.

I thought we were judging based on the players themselves, not current status, but durability would be a component of any judgement. Others are talking about ranking points midseason and end of season, but I'm not sure if that's just something some are doing. You'd think Newman would be more valuable than anybody left.
I've changed mine since and have information to add.
So we should wait for the thread before saving etc![]()
I reckon if they're on a list, you can pick them...injury shouldn't interfere with this processI agree.

This is exactly what I was thinking (and alluded to earlier).Apart from getting people to vote on the best team and have to top 4 face off etc., I was thinking we could offer some other awards (because we live in a world where everyone gets a participation award now). Something along the lines of....
- Team with the best youth
- Team with the best defense, best midfield and best attack
- Team with the best bench depth
- Coach who caused the most holdups/pain
etc.
Whoever has Liam Ryan... I feel sorry for you too with what was reported on the news tonight.
Might have a tough time winning this too.
A few considerations when I was selecting the side, generally wanting speed, agility and some versatility. Also wanted less ready to retire types
In terms of flexibility, Holmes, Comben, Evans, Durham, TDK, Kelly, Sheezel, Moore, Himmelberg, Owens, Rioli, Ratugolea, O'Halloran, Jones, Maric, can play different positions and or roles
Backline options provide speed, agility and flexibility, with solid disposal and they can defend different type forwards
Mids could almost be classified as consistent blue collarish, with the exception of Sheezel, but rotating options do add xfactor
Forwards once again offers plenty of speed per position and all of them are comfortable pushing or rotating through the middle
Interchange also offers flexibility with O'Halloran and Jones
Sub position continues to evolve and sides are using different types. Maric for me fits the bill as he can play as a defender, wingman or forward

I'm missing a couple. Maybe ferris and Coona.
Let me know what I've forgotten people.

This old bloke can’t help himself. I have to look for young talent, for break out players.
A modicum of experience and grunt, not that the youngsters lack grunt.
The Old Dark Navy's would like to edit this further if/when you take it across. Been busy for a change
I don't think campaigners is what you want to call them on this forum. Just saying. Not a good word to use on here![]()

I think it was deliberate. Bit of mongrel and all that.
