Re: Mallee Football League Part 2

can anyone give me some info on Coleman Schache from hopetoun. i met him recently, sounds like a decent kid.

Also Troy Ferrier is a hack and extremely overated.

Congratulations on 'meeting' him- must have been a delightful experience for you! When is your next date? Are you thinking of a longterm relationship or is just a 'let's see how it goes' thing?

Ferrier goes well IMO

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA....good call! Ferrier goes well and Darcy Ryan's a gun.:thumbsu:

Re: Mallee Football League Part 2

Simon has been training with the bendigo bombers, and i think he may have the tigers listed as his home club, so he can play with them when not playing with the bombers. Russ and Scott are right to play apparently. i may be wrong, but this is what i've heard.

This is not concrete but i have heard.

Dale Barry - Signed with YC - loddon valley league
Andrew Barry - Looking at Mounts or South Bgo but if YC can afford him wouldnt be surprised if he follows his brother. 2 great pick ups for YC if it happens.

Mount Pleasant (HDFL) are throwing coin at these boys... BOTH of them. Heard it on the grapevine this morning.

For a bloke who only just met him you seem to know a bit about him. I've never met the man but he must have talked himself up to you, or you are him...

Re: Mallee Football League Part 2

What type of player is Ryan? Sounds like the Tigers are recruiting well at the moment!
Bit disappointing that they may lose the Barry boys thou... actually heard that they may have verbally committed early on so wouldn't look real good on their behalf!
Agree on Ferrier going well! Can remember him playing interleague when he was in the Mallee so will be a nice pick up on a flank or wing if the tigers have the onballers.

Super fit on-baller who runs hard all day. Generally uses the ball well and doesn't back out of a contest. Similar hard player like Sewelly, who will also go very well in the Mallee League this year. Throw in Durie and the Tigers will have an on-ball brigade that wouldn't look out of place in the CMFL. I don't know much about Walpy though, would assume that their on-ballers aren't too shabby either.

Re: Mallee Football League Part 2

Ryan was injury prone last year, has he recovered properly from his foot injury? if he has, Sea lake will have possilbly the best on ball brigade in the mallee

Re: Mallee Football League Part 2

Is there any truth in the whispers that whale, oyster and charles are goin back to the sanfl next year?

Re: Mallee Football League Part 2

Few handy pick ups heading Ouyen way......

Only know one name but think his name will get a little movement down stairs for Ouyen supporters. Danny Luke O'Bree told Wyche-Narraport that he will be at Ouyen Next year with 3 mates... good pick up for Ouyen massive loss to what Wyche thought they had.......

Anstey and Obree to play for Ouyen. What kind of distances would be travelled for away games?

GREAT news for the D's. The three-peat for Walpe/Underbool may now be in jeopardy!

Re: Mallee Football League Part 2

Jeparit/Rainbow are struggling. No coach at the moment and a few player losses including longtime forward Ben Zanker and Brent Tough to Taylors Lake in the HDFL. Solid backman Allan Roberts returns after a year off helping out the side but the Lakers could be in for a long season this year; especially if the other sides are improving as much as they are said to be.

I saw the first game between Walpe/Und and Ouyen last year and Ouyen went down by 20 goals - and the second game they lost by more - so I hope the new recruits with O'Bree and Anstey are Superman and Batman because then it might be worth the drive early on next season for a close game.

Re: Mallee Football League Part 2

Father Time will be the ultimate judge of how successfull or not this exciting venture will be. But as confusicus once said "Take off rear vision mirrors, only way is forward and don't look back".
Last year is last year.
The D's will be happy with the Drover and his possee of outriders, super and badman have both been drafted by the Tigers.

Re: Mallee Football League

Have seen Bryce play, but what type of players are Rixon and Blomly? the cats need more than just these guys if their gunna get off the bottom of the ladder.
rixon is a super quick winger mid blomely a CHB i don't know if these guys no how much travelling they will need to do each weekend regardless of the coin 10 or 12 hour round trip can take its toll

Re: Mallee Football League Part 2

Has anyone got early predictions for the ladder at the end of year? i know the sason is still 4 months away, but i'll put my neck on the line first.

Tigers
Roos
Demons
Blues
Devils
Cats
Lakers

Re: Mallee Football League Part 2

Did the Weekley's and Barry's end up signing with the Tiges

at this stage, all off to Mount Pleasant as they have been offered good $$ there. Mounts are spending $100K this year for a flag

there is a very, very small chance that the Weekley boys could go back to Sandhurst if the Dragons offer them enough coin, but I heard second hand that Russ is chasing a premiership and he will have a better chance of that with Mounts

Re: Mallee Football League Part 2

i heard is straight from the horses mouth at a certain music festival over the new year that tom hallam is returning to boolah this year. i didnt think this was big news until he said that he would be receiving little to no money for the switch back. this cant be true. can anyone shed light on what he would really be on to come back home.

If tigers lay down as bad as they did in last grandfinal with the side they had, then i doubt they will take top. Old news i know, but the thread keeps talking of losing the weeklys and barrys so ?

Blues .....dont stay down for long
Roos......If they dont lose too many ( which is on the cards i here s.a ?)
Tigers...If they hold there side together.
Demons....Still unshore of how many recruited are guns..chance if they r
Cats...quiet, but recruiting.
Lakers.
Devils...got no confidence in them while others recruit better.

Tom hallam has played for blues all his life. only time he hasnt played for beulah is when he was in perth. And its no suprise he is on little cash considering he is living and working there.
