Hopefully all going well there. Wonder what their training numbers are like.
 
Some interesting happenings on the transfer lists on the Mallee league website.

It looks like about 6 players are crossing from the central murry league to Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers. I know they lost about the same number to that league last year so I am guessing they are the same players coming back.

Also it looks like Hopetoun are doing a bit, 3 from Russells creek, in the Warnambool District league and a couple of other players coming from elsewhere.

Just wondering how Stuart Broussard goes, apparently played with Woomalang and is looking to shift to Charlton due to work commitments.

I hear Hopetoun are close to signing young gun Bill Barnes from Deni? Any truth in this rumour?
Also... Stuart Broussard is worth around $300-350 a game. Big strong body and can kick lots of goals

Just conferming that Steve Bell did coach Kaniva Leeor in the KNTfooty league the last 2 seasons. Had a great 2 seasons both on and off the feild. Made the league team of year........... ass coach of league team. Great footy brain, great pick up for ouyen. Has anyone heard of any possible recruits for them? Sunny Lindsay????????? Jeff Meyer ??????????

Stewart Broussard is actually at uni in ballarat. Not going to charlton for work commitments. his old man was the bank manager there a while ago so they spent a few years there a while ago, could also be going back to ultima apparently. dont know much about him football wise though, dockers, where have you seen him play? was he on the big bucks at woomelang? any information would be fantastic.

True... 300 - 350 is for a good middle range player not really a superstar... Unless its a champion local, who was always going to play for the club but the club decides to fork out a bit for them, to stop them from thinking about moving on...

Quite often blokes on that sort of money are a seconds player from a major league than gets brought along as one of the coaches mates and is absolutely useless and if they weren't getting paid they wouldn't be getting a game ;)

Yes U do sound bitter Boney, if it wasn't for the fact that major league footballers happened to get disgrundled with their own clubs then the Mallee league would fold. It relies on recruits or rejects from major leagues to survive, lets get serious.... Clubs are silly enough to pay seconds players who dont deserve it.... What do you think?

Yeah clubs are silly enough to pay blokes who are only of seconds quality. Makes it even more annoying when they are blokes who never really train, just turn up on saturday and collect their money and go and really give nothing back to the club. Thankfully its been quite a while since i've played with players like that. I do remember one story of a bloke out kicking the footy at half time of the reserves, twinged his hammy (some say tore). Anyway got stripped, ran out onto the ground, lasted all of 5 minutes but still wanted his money.

How is the mallee league going by the way? Is it Beulah that are going to head to teh North Central League next year?
 
From my recruiting expeiriences over the past few years it seems that the players on the verge of senior footy in a major league are the one asking the most money, absolutley ridiculous. I know of a bloke who played state rep footy, and was only getting $250 a game.

Monger 123, Broussard is a very talented young footballer and I know Ultima are very keen to get him back after he played all his junior footy there and showed a huge amount of promise. I don't know weather going to Woomelang for big money was the best thing to do but you can't blame a kid of his age for doing it for big money. His parents do live in Swan Hill so it would make sence for him to go back to Ultima. I know they would love to have him back.

Was already done and dusted at the end of last year wasn't it???

They would head into the North Central League in 2007 making 8 teams...
 
Rooboy: I don't know weather going to Woomelang for big money was the best thing to do but you can't blame a kid of his age for doing it for big money.

he never went there for money, went there to play with old friends before moving away, got his 60 bucks a game and nothing more than that.
 
Hot news is Mick Dedini is living in mildura with a couple of handy Irymple senior players, and has said he will be playing with them at irymple or getting them to woomelang either way you can bet the envelope will provail.

My sources tell me that you are a bit off the mark Impy. He is training with Irymple because he lives in Mildura and knows some of the guys. He would be a very handy acquisition to the Irymple 18 though......

I know for a fact that woomy are going to have a crack at the boys mick is living with coz they dont want to loose him, do you know what there chances are of getting them i heard they had already signed with irymple? I watched mick play on sat and he was by far the best player on the field and yes he would be a very very good pick up for irymple.

You said on the SFL thread you only watched the last bit of the game. Thats enough to tell who was best on is it? he is a very good player though.
