Awesome stuff – **** it I want him to go one more year. If we are not going to start the rebuilding process in 2008 Mark Ricciuto should play one more year. :thumbsu:

If he plays on and breaks down because of injury in 5 to 10 years time when his legacy around the football is taking over the younger blokes no one will care. Everyone will just remember him for the champion player and person he is.

See the hit on Dean Kemp – 15 weeks if he did it now. :thumbsu:

I think my best personal memory of Riccuito would have to be before the game against Brisbane at the GABBA in 2001, in the visiting teams rooms at the GABBA they have a public veiwing area (still have to be invited into that area) and I was fortunate enough to be asked to go into this area, the rev up/speech he gave before that game was truely inspiring, it showed true leadership, determindation, and despite the odds that he was determind no matter what to win the game:

This is what he said please excuse the language as Im going to type it exactly how he said it:

"This is it boys, we are going to come out and hit these pricks ****ing hard, we are going to kick 20 ****ing goals in the first quarter, this team is the best and we have to be at our best to beat the best, win you position, intimidate your opponent, and at all costs play for the gurnsey"

The AFC won this game by 5pts.

Only hit, I have have heard the crunch whilst watching the game in the crowd.

One of my best memories of Roo is his inspirational game where he kicked 4 goals in the wet against the Blues at Princes Park in a come from behind game. We were really struggling at the time & Roo really lead from the front to get us over the line.

Magnificent ... even on my crappy slow broadband. When did kemp wake up???
I heard he managed to open 1 eye in ICU today... then got sight of a Roo poster on the wall & promptly shut it again!

This really gives me the shits! The video is currently unavailable. Is the AFL pissed off that I am not with their precious Telstra?!

Can anyone get the link that would play in the Media Player or something similar because this afl crap is giving me the shits

I could watch those highlights all day. The hits on Kemp and Stenglein are definite highlights :thumbsu: Although I do feel a bit sorry for Kemp.. bloody hell that would have hurt!!

The Carlton game is one of my best memories too.
The thunder and lightening game;)

Wasnt it Port Power  that beat us the week b4 and inspired one of our best wet weather wins?

...and of course Roos hit that horizontalled Kemp...that was clinical:thumbsu:

That game was a corker we hadnt won a game at for the 2001 season, the conditions were atrocious and he came out and took the game by the scruff of the neck:thumbsu:

**** it was cold that day – I recon I got hyperthermia because of the rain, hail and snow.:D

That joke really shits me.

Well can you even confirm that the Adelaide Football Club or even Mark Ricciuto will be holding a press conference today?

If he is going to retire, he will be having a press conference and the rumours would already be sweeping Adelaide.

Yeah of course, like any good club they announce all their press conferences at 6am. Just what I've heard.

Sorry – but if your ever so reliable source told you, I am pretty sure that he couldn’t keep his big fat mouth shut and not tell anyone else. Unless this source of yours is more like a home brand one and is just spreading gossip and innuendo.

Everyone with in the media industry (and then consequentially) the broader side of society knew Malcolm Blight was going to pull the pin the day he resign as coach. By 7am on most news services that rumour was known as fact. By 10 am they announced he departure and no one was shocked.

If Mark Ricciuto intended on retiring today I am pretty sure you wouldn’t be the only person who knows this piece of information. Do you honestly think someone wouldn’t t try and get that scoop and announce it already?

So if you’re Paul Newman has informed you, he would have already told someone else and they have told someone else and that rumour would be going crazy by now.

If at 6 pm tonight he has retired – come back and tell me – I told you so.
