And so brings the end of the greatest season ever as we put away the end of an era in the English Leagues. Gone is the Barclays Premier League, and dawn is the Walt Disney Premier League:
How fitting that it is Leicester that will be the face of this new rebranding, let all your dreams come true!
(Yes, I am really annoyed at our Champions Badges. Not even fully gold!)
Anyway, we still have a few loose ends to tie up yet. For example, we still don't know who is the last PL team to secure their ticket for next season. We still don't know who is going to finish in the CL places, we still don't know if Arsenal can somehow manage to finish ahead of Tottenham (seriously?) and we still don't know who is going to win the Golden Boot and Glove.
Lots of big, important, and seriously fun games to play over the week, as well as Liverpool-Chelsea (But seriously, if Liverpool fail to win over Sevilla, they need to win at the very least to be competing for the Europa places.) Of course, most eyes would be Sunderland as it seems like a lot of people just are unable to treat that nasty rash. I wonder how many Liverpool fans will dare to support the Toffees in this game?
If Sunderland win:
The result here should determine how aggressive things will get for that North London fight, because Newcastle will still have something to play for, and Villa look like they're not going to go down without a fight. Maybe that Air Head was telling the truth... (If Cryuff was going to watch the game, and Villa gets at least a draw... oh dear god.)
There's also the big race for the Golden Boot. Kane leads on 25, Vardy and Agureo one behind. Will Vardy regret that penalty miss? It should be noted the aware will be shared if we have a tie, so for a certain Tiger fan that have some interest in this fight, a tie is good for them (unless he betted outright).
Golden Glove is simple; Cech can only tie it up, while De Gea needs two clean games to get the job done (he can still tie it up with one if Kasper and Hart don't keep it clean.) But what a season it would be if Kasper gets it. To think you laughed at our defence. To think it took us until Match Day 9 to keep a clean sheet. Well, ho ho ho, who's got the last laugh now?
My recommendation? To be honest, for the actual final day, I can't really recommend any of the games without knowing what the prior results are going to be. So I'm going to stay the 'Ranieri's Revenge' game will be the one to watch. The fans are going to be having one huge love-in, but Ranieri's very keen for his Champions to finish off well, especially to prove a point to a certain Chairman that had written him off. Watch for a handshake between the two men for that game (as well as to see if Vardy can win the Golden Boot, and if Leicester can win the League by 10+ points, and the largest margin since United's 09/10 title. If Leicester win it by 13, it will be the 2nd largest margin in the PL era.)
Soo... what question should I ask? So many good questions... but since many people were extremely bothered by them, as well as their manager, I think its time to address the big question: How do you address the current Sunderland Manager? I feel like he's going to get a lot more hate for keeping BF's most hated club in the PL for yet another season... for them to do the exact same thing again and again and again. Reminding you that you could've had Brighton or Wednesday, but instead stuck with this lot again.
Look at him, that's him hungry for your hate.
Yeah, having a bit of silliness in the end, but 'tis a silly season, both now and for what we are about to venture into.
This has been a wonderful season (and no, not just that for that reason), let's see it off with a bang!
Have at it!
