Motlop band 2, dalhaus, higgins..that money was band 3. But they dont fit your narrative so we all have to dismiss them. Give me a break
Past performance (Fit) is no guarantee of future results. Neither you're wrong nor right. So i replied to the hawthorn supporter stating we should expect a late 30's pick for crouch by saying its rubbish and as likely as it would be pick 3..you like the post he put back to me stating it going to be another egg on face moment. That is lolling
Recommitted - Matt Crouch [Recommitted to 2023]
You may very well be right as it could a last man standing scenario with now the club parting ways with Daniel Talia. As an aside, if I was Gold Coast and they are sure Talia has and will recover from his injury setbacks - they should be all over him like a rash with a good contract as he would...www.bigfooty.com
You seriously know jack about football if you dont rate a fit Talia as one of the leagues premier defenders. Most neutral observers would laugh you down for thinking otherwise and the fact only one other gc supporter directly queried it with me on their own board is testimony to that. Got nothing to do with kindness and everything to do with understanding what a fit talia would add to their club.
I liked a post by Burtman that was a reply to you yes. The reply wasn’t even close to the content that you bizarrely accused me of liking before. You’re literally just throwing as much mud as you can and hoping some sticksSo i replied to the hawthorn supporter stating we should expect a late 30's pick for crouch by saying its rubbish and as likely as it would be pick 3..you like the post he put back to me stating it going to be another egg on face moment. Fair enough comment. And ultimately none of us knows what sort of offers crouch may get as he is still only mid 20's and has plenty of years ahead. Personally i hope he stays as along with laird he is our best midfielderPast performance (Fit) is no guarantee of future results. Neither you're wrong nor right.
He'll sign soon I think. Mark my wordsNot sure what to make of Matt's situation, does the club REALLY want him to stay, are they happy for him to leave if the compo pick is ok?
Maybe we could offer pick 2 and Matt's compo pick to North for pick 1?
Great resource that, thanks.Reminder: Thread is about MATT CROUCH.
Do not drag crap here from other boards. If you want to reply to that stuff, do it over there, in accordance with their rules, or take it to PM. This board is not for airing your issues from somewhere else.
Keep it civilised. No need to go around accusing people of being idiots, morons, nuffies, delusional, etc. etc. etc. Aim higher.
Any more of that crap and it'll be thread bans and infractions.
P.S. There is an entire thread full of resources including historical free agency compensation and a breakdown of the formula.
The free agency compensation formula spits out different results each year depending on what the salaries look like across the entire league, and it's only based on the average base value of the contract so it can be really weird sometimes! It's all relative and quoting dollar amounts from old articles is completely pointless, not least because those articles are not necessarily even using the same numbers that the formula is based on.
I'm not so sure. He'll sign soon I think. Mark my words
Peoples said and you said what is the difference ? Opinion and opinion varied from person to person .Geez there is some extreme trolling in these threads. I can’t vouch for the veracity of this article from last year, but I’d back it to be way closer than most in here.
People forget the salary cap is almost $14m so a salary of $500k per annum is ~3.5% of the cap.
The only lingering question on Crouch is will he get back to full fitness - my understanding is his current injury is not a career killer like Talia.

Last time I looked Geelong was in Victoria unless it moved overnight.Hard to see exactly who would be keen if he left the Crows. Off the top of my head.
The 3 Vic clubs touted as having big cap room in Ess, Haw or North don't seem like fits to me. I get the feeling Richmond want to get through some cap before targeting their next group of players and he doesn't fit their style. Dogs, Melb no. Saints surely have filled up that cap by now. Carlton somehow winning the race for Cerra? Pies fans might burn the place down if they suddenly find salary space.
From the non Vics. Bris - no. GWS - no way. West Coast - doubt it. Port - I can't really see it even if they could do with some midfield depth. Sydney - wouldn't shock me, he could replace Josh Kennedy but I'd put them in the same boat as other clubs as trying to retool their cap space now.
Geelong: Need cover for Selwood and Danger and aren't ever afraid of free agents.
Gold Coast: Not sure he fits Dew's game plan but they can't turn down proven experienced players if they have any interest
Freo: If Cerra leaves, with Mundy surely not going at this level forever and Fyfe eventually moving more forward do they take a chance? Probably time to start kicking that rebuild along with some experienced players.

Matt is one of the best inside mids in the game. He has been injured all year, but not with standing he is an All Australian inside mid that finds the ball. That's EXACTLY what Gold Coast need. Everything starts from the Matt Crouchs of the game.Since when were we arguing about the importance of inside mids in the game of football?
You made this claim
I pointed out that if you find a all-aus mod that can get the ball over 30x a game to let us know. Cause Matt crouch hasn’t been that In a long time. And pointed out that gcs has an abundance of developing ball winners and have needs elsewhere.
stop acting so offended that people don’t rate Matt so highly when the crows replaced him with a discarded player and crows fans are hoping he leaves.
To put it in perspective the last time crouch was an all-Australian Scott Thompson and Zac Dawson were still playing.
