Cats didn’t mind AFL bringing in a salary cap to stop the money and power.
Evened up the competition so cats could break a 40+ year premiership drought

And North, and the swans, and Richmond, and Melbourne, and the saints.. oh wait
And west coast win their first, and crows win their first, and Brisbane win their first, and port win their first, and Freo win their.. oh nupe

Since the introduction of salary cap, Geelong have played in and lost 4 GFs, only breaking the drought 20 years after salary cap came in.

They didn’t police salary caps properly until 2001.
When bombers had to disband their 2000 team and blues copped their whack for their dealings in the late 90s

issue is what that role would be.

flanders, anderson and miller can all play elsewhere to varying degrees of success. rowell doesnt have anymore strings to his bow.
I think he can add more strings. According to Dimma today he will play short stints forward. Let’s see.

I really hope he stays. AFL in Queensland need to have the Suns appear in September and their fans have stuck with them for quite a while now without reward.

Kinda agree. But he’s 23 and sounds like he doesn’t want to piss away his career at a club that won’t contend in his time.

It really is up to the club to show something this year. If they improve and make finals, and Dimma can imprint some sort of game style that he can see has a chance for them to contend in the future, there’s no reason for him to sign again.

While I’m backing Dimma more than anyone to get it done, I can understand why Matt is looking at other options after what the club has shown him to date.

Struggling to see the correlation here Ronald.
The AFL's crackdown on caps isn't the reason the Lions threepeated.

I think GC is pretty sorted for KPFs, with Andrew, Walter and King.

Would be many buyers for JUH who would have the picks required to grab Rowell though
We'll be able to trade 3 first round picks at the end of the season, we're keen on Rowell and Butters, I wonder if 3 picks + Jamarra is enough to land both.

Probably depends where you end up on the ladder, and what JUHs situation is. Those future 1st rounders wont be worth that much anyway.
Itll be close

gold caoast are a unique club they dont need picks as they got enough of them coming out of their ass. they want good ready made players that want to play there like rioli and noble. I doubt they interested in JUH as they stocked in that position and not sure about they want to deal with bringing him up to a "party town"

but 3 picks for butters would get it done you'd think.
