Opinion Matthew Nicks: Adelaide's Coach (Part 2) - Full Support of the Board

Is Matthew Nicks the right coach for Adelaide?

  • Firmly yes (I love what I'm seeing)

  • Leaning yes

  • Can't decide either way

  • Leaning no (but don't sack him yet)

  • Firmly no (he should be sacked)

Wow watching it now:

“Dowling knows he’s got things to work on”
“But if I asked Billy if he wants to play he’d jump at it”
“We have players in the SANFL with stuff to work on”
“So for those calling for players to play I hope they are watching the SANFL and not just reacting to what’s happening in the AFL”

Right so only players in the SANFL have stuff to work on. Ignore the s**t out of form players in the AFL, watch for the deficiencies in our SANFL players.
All AFL listed players in the SANFL should be played in positions where they can get hold of the footy as often as possible not hiding in a dark corner

Have a question around this, precarious? WTF kind of wording is that. There is nothing precarious about the AFC and therefor I presume it means dealing with Thebby. Be careful about believing what people say when they are in a mood because they have to do their jobs and had a bad day at work. Yes, its the Crows board who are in the wrong. lol
Any chance you can change the thread title to Matthew Nicks worst coach in our history

What's important to note is that I can't remember a single time he has actually specified something that a certain player needs to do. It's always just "stuff". Is it defensive? Does he fail to stick tackles? Maybe decision making? Is he kicking to the wrong spots?

I might just be imagining things, but I'm sure other coaches (or at least the better ones) aren't this vague.

Is this a Nicks exclusive?

What exactly is this "stuff" they have to work on? Why is he never specific?

I think you will see the disconnect this week.
For all the talk that he helped "restore the culture", he's certainly destroying the fabric of it by backing in his favourites, throwing others under the bus and not bothering to look beyond his list of 26 players he rotates in and out of the side.

**** him off before he completely wrecks the playing group, although that horse may have bolted.

I’m having that sinking feeling with the younger guys

Just for once, I'd like to see our coach actually react to what's happening in the AFL

You won't see me disagree.
