Natte certainly looking the goods, but I think Harcourt have just as much right to have the tag as the team to beat still. 30 something games on the trot. They lost some quality including the coach, but some very good players in and will obviously be a change of game style that comes with the coach. But these 2 look a class above.

3 to 7 pretty even and possibly anyone of those guys could beat each other on their day, last spot in the 8 probably between Talbot, Navarre and Maryborough. Think it would be great for the league and the area if the GIANTS could sneak into finals.
Giants in the finals would be massive. I see Cupido hasn’t played much….so surely once he gets up and running he will be a big bonus too!

Should go ok in this league going off his for in the Murray FL (bag of 4 & 5 in 3 games). kicked 20 in the GV last year as well though his delivery will be a fair bit better than what he will get on Saturday.
Whilst it's probably great to have an experienced player like him, at his age I'd rather go with a young fella. Just my opinion.

Is it still top 8 in this comp? Or due to the Giants merging at the end of last year, they have dropped it back to a top 6??

Still a top 8 comp.
Geez looking at the ladder then the team that finishes 8th will be a fair way back. All teams around this spot currently 3-7….3 games behind 7th. Maybe the Giants can still make the finals, although a few unexpected slip ups over the last few weeks!

Agree, will be a close finish and an exciting race for 8th. Giants have had some close losses which could come back to bite them, but i reckon Navarre are better than their record suggests. Same with Newstead, but some injuries to key players, including Joel Smith and Mick Dalrymple was always going to make things tough.

Giants/Harcourt at Hedges intrigues me this week. Harcourt off a loss for the first time in two years and certainly got a hurry up last time they met
Noonan, Coach Thiesz, his brother and Pat Gretgrix all played twos that earlier season clash. Whilst it was a close game in the seniors I think it's safe to say they rested a few that day.

Harcourt by 8 odd goals in the end after being up by 14 at half time.
Giants started bench made of u17 players and ended up without a bench by 3/4 time

Reckon Dunolly might have played themselves into a top four berth on Saturday. Don't think Razza Dazza's been sung that loud for a long long time. Could be down to them and Lexton on the final day but the way the Eagles move the ball is super impressive.

Carisbrook tricky draw but you'd be silly to write them off... wherever they finish.

Good turn around by Dunolly. They were battlers not that long ago. It's great for the comp.

They have done well turning the club around as it was on its knees only a few years ago.

Let’s hope the recruiting lifeline from Bendigo can be maintained. If not the club will be back in the same predicament again.

I remember playing against them in the lv, they were a basket case, so they've done well to.turn it around

Getting to the business end now!

Barring any upsets the top 3 looks like a lock, Lexton and Dunolly probably battling for the last spot in the 4.

Brook and Maldon have some work to do with their recent form slump, both have some tough games ahead.

We might find the winner of Newstead and Talbot this week could end up finishing 8th and play finals.

There is a couple of games the Giants would be absolutely kicking themselves over

The two Maryborough clubs are embarrassing.

How the giants put Cupido (Massive Coin) in charge and have won less games than what rovers did last year with the league being worse than last year is embarrassing, should've kept both coaches from rovers and bushy specially when rovers were on the up first time in years and were hit hard with injuries, Billy Mahoney (Gun, would've won the league BNF If healthy) doing his ACL 2nd game. Big rumour cupido wont be there next season if he goes the board at the giants should all be removed as its the worse decision ever made for a new club and this season has been a massive fail.

Terrible appointment as has been said plenty of times before. Still baffles me to think how no one did their research at the Giants before making that call. Without having any ties to the Rovers, Radlof did a great job their and had those boys playing for him. Not surprised a lot of those guys followed him to Clunes. Rhys Egan is the only major loss from the Bushy side of things, they love what he is doing over at Talbot and i'm pretty sure he's got a coaching role in the senior side there.
