Anyone get to watch Harcourt and Natte on the weekend? Would have been a cracker
Bits and pieces. Walters was terrific for Harcourt, both he and Leech turned the game the Lions' way within a minute with two quick goals on a day they were hard to come by.

Should be some great finals on the horizon!

Very sad if true. Plots, sub plots, lies, inbetweeners, self interest, sectarianism, narrow mindedness and low to no aspiration! The short sightedness of people is staggering. Surely they get it done and soon

And what do Maryborough bring to the MCDFNL sorry!
They need 20 plus open age players for a start to provide 2 full sides.
Carisbrook have offered to sit down for an options discussion.
Twice.
And got ignored.

The bigger story is potentially Castlemaine. Where will they be in 3 years when the cash dries up? Back to their knees begging for a lifeline? Borough have to be admitted and now - more will follow. Can not be rejected. Numbers will sort out.

Understand Johnny but they need to show how they can field full sides to satisfy the other stakeholders in the league.
No one likes going up against clubs without the full complement.

What cash are you referring to? Castlemaine is just running on normal fundraising, there’s been no white knight drop a bundle in.

Regardless, it won’t be an issue. Fast forward a decade and attrition will take care of many clubs. How many MCDFL clubs have been near the edge over the past 20 years? Most of them I reckon.

There’s stuff all juniors, less and less senior players, more netballers playing multiple games and the AFL has shown it is happier for clubs to die than to make any sort of intervention.

My tip is by 2035 the discussion won’t be about clubs merging, but shifting to leagues.

Who do you think Trentham will get in the prelim?
Also are Carisbrook any chance against Harcourt?
I think the fact that they have to recover from Sunday and very heavy conditions plays against both Dunolly and Carisbrook but it's finals footy. Anything can happen! Think both games go either way for me

Worth saying - sensational job to get Princes Park in the conditions it's in at the moment after last Sunday. Credit to all involved

It’s been in great condition so kudos to the fellows at Central Goldfields Shire who do a great job having Princes Park and surrounds presented well throughout the year.

Some very poor parenting going on there the past two weeks though. Walking with babies through the middle of ongoing matches, absolutely terrible.
The council should have got the plovers removed.

On iPhone using BigFooty.com mobile app
Protected species once they nest there's 0 to no chance of getting them moved.

Anyway what should have probably been the GF we will see this week with Harcourt and Natte. Should be a cracker but would probably favour Natte. Trentham should take care of Lexton too
