Any news floating around the league? What’s everyone’s predictions? Grand finalist, biggest improver/slider, league medal?

Natte announced they have recruited Nathan Holt older brother of Will.
Still in talks with a couple more out of Bendigo with round 1 only around the corner. Still in my eyes the team to beat. I think it will be a close top 4 and than fall off quite dramatically. Sides like Navarre, Avoca giants etc are only making up numbers.

Who do you have in your top 4?
Maldon look to drop off, Talbot have recruited very nice but coming from a long way back, not much news out of Carisbrook could we see them slide down?
Harcourt look the team to beat for me

What have the Lions done to justify being your pick Stats? Natte and Trentham drop off?

There’s going to be some UGLY results this year…

Pretty much kept the same list, added in Jack Threlfall who can really play and a couple others that will top them off nicely!
Natte will still be around the top losing their captain and Will Cameron will hurt them but should still be good.
Trentham will be an interesting watch haven’t really recruited to many will be interested to see if Trav Baird plays at all
 
Joel Cowan never announced as a re-signing at Trentham. Over the last few years he is always the first cab off the rank, is there a chance he isn't playing, or Trentham just playing funny buggers?

I heard off someone who ventured out to Junortoun on the weekend that Threlfall tore the praccy match to shreds!

Natte have a very good list, they’re well coached and have a winning culture. They’ll drop news of a recruit or two before round 1.

From what I’m hearing, Baird is currently cruising around with a brace of some description on his leg!

Any other praccy match results or news floating around? What’s the latest out of Dunolly?

Few practice matches happening this weekend. I’m hoping to get to a couple of them over the course of the arvo.

Beaufort v Maryborough Giants
Trentham v Carnham Linton
Maldon v Mitiamo
Clunes v Talbot
Learmonth v Natte
Avoca v Donald

Interesting games. Beaufort will crucify Giants I suspect but I’m really keen to see how the Giants shape up. Trentham and CL should be a good hit out as will Learmonth v Natte.

Clunes are expecting to beat Talbot comfortably but I’m not so sure that will be the result.

Who is coaching Giants this season? Surely not Cupido again? If not, where has he lobbed for the year?

He did finish the year ROOTA#6 but announced early he was finishing up at the end of the season.

Was travelling a fair way but to be honest he was a terrible appointment. Was so many questions asked and eyebrows raised when he was appointed. Put the newly merged entity on the back foot from the start.
 
Caught the first half of the Giants v Beaufort practice match. Giants kicked the first and I don’t think kicked another goal for the first half, with the Crows running all over them. Could be a long year for the Giants.

I arrived right at the end and got filled in by a few locals. Talbot copped an injury late to one of their recruits but didn’t catch who. Clunes for the better of them on the day.

I believe Limbach kicked but it was a fairly tough day at the office for Talbot forwards.

Will be a tough job to get the Maryborough players back after a year at a new club, especially the ones who spend a year playing in the MCDFL
