Footy Show exclusive that’s been on The Age website for a couple of hours.
the afl can fund their stadiums themselves. the state gov has trains schools and hospitals to build.AFLW, local community engagement, buying votes for the next election, etc, etc
Funding comes with strings though, will be interesting to see what they are
Wait, a government potentially wasting money? Well, I never....arent geelong only just finishing rebuilding their stadium? and why exactly are footscray and carlton getting redeveloped if theyre never gonna play afl there?
I thought he said back over 100k (seated), not way over 100k, could be wrong though.MCG increased capacity to (and I quote) "Well over 100,000"
Already big enough. And will remain so for some time.AFLW, local community engagement, buying votes for the next election, etc, etc

There is. That was announced too.Hopefully there’s some sort of provision to redo Richmond Station. Can’t speak for jolimont as I never use it, but getting into Richmond is a real squeeze and banks up past the Swinburne Centre sometimes. Even getting in at the back entry is a struggle now
aflw isnt going to make the state any of their money back and football isnt a public service or utility. the afl can fund their money sink themselves. supporting womens football? how about supporting women victims of violence first.AFLW games.
Maybe don't build your ground with 45's instead of 50's for a startUnlike your club most non-Victorian clubs don't get to play at the MCG 15 times a year.

Funding infrastructure usually involves council's and governmentsthe afl can fund their stadiums themselves. the state gov has trains schools and hospitals to build.
Imagine it's things like lights for Ikon park, improved facilities like toilets, parking/transport access etcAlready big enough. And will remain so for some time.
The way your mob's going you won't have to worry about how to win a GF there for another 40 years or so anyway. All I hear is that we have to deal with Interstate flogs complaining about not knowing how to play at the MCG for another 40 years...
yeah but the heritage wackos arent going to let us get rid of the old bricks broken tiles and rusted metal so it will just be a new entrance canopy so you can at least wait in line undercoverThere is. That was announced too.
I'm glad! Finally someone from interstate who is looking forward to watching footy at the G! See it isn't that hard everyone! Be like this guy right here!!!I'm looking forward to watching minnow Victorian clubs play in a stadium that is 1/5 full during the regular season.
I thought he said well over, I could be wrong.I thought he said back over 100k (seated), not way over 100k, could be wrong though.
