Looks superb. Would prefer to not lose so much to the VB ad but It is understandable since there used to be big advertisements. Hopefully the video replays, and the football coverage, take up the whole screen.

I also hope they now show more statistics during the football, and proper statistics not dream team crap.

You lose so much to the VB ad you can only fit a full innings scorecard on... :p

those last 2 lines is what they have conneted to N27/N52(?). Hopefully they don't just double that information up...

I have a question regarding seats. I have an AFL membership and might be getting seats in their section. just wondering what kind of blockage the sight screen causes?
Generally have. AFL does, and cricket a bit too. Remember on the "line scoreboards" it's there all the time, on the screen it's up and down (which gave me the yips when I've watched cricket there, being used to Adelaide Oval where you can see it all the time).

I love going to the MCG.

Sydney vs Richmond in 2009 was my fondest memory because of Micky O's 300th game. that and we smashed them helped as well.

I just wish Sydney would start winning there :(

Haha bit of a positive jynx much! Only won a flag 8 months after posting that!

That's not what you'd want to see. I am doubtful the full screen will be used for match footage. Looks like the digital advertising above will remain.

Having the logo (or the stats as it was during play) in the left corner in that photo actually helped where I was sitting horizontal to the pitch.

Because of the way the grandstand roof is, that part of the screen was chopped off anyway, you couldn't see it. It was mirrored on the other screen as well. This ensured that everyone saw the actual play.

Took some adjusting of the eyes to look at the scoreboard on the second level because it just paled in comparison.

The real game clock is somewhere in a booth on level 2. Not that they make it visible to the crowd, just the running time.
Official timepiece for a cricket match must be clearly visible to the players and umpires. Usually thesedays it's on the video screen.
