Funny you mention that BB, I saw that article a few days ago.

Young Boys Wankdorf erection relief

Also, Young Boys have the player with the coolest name ever, Gilles Yapi Yapo.

Cant wait for the melbourne derby.. melbourne v in the blue and white, and Melbourne whoever in the red... hopefully, maybe a bayern munich like hoops kit? could work well. Would be an amazing sight in the stadium. I wonder however where the talent will come from. It was made painfully obvious by the fury that scraping sub par players and linking them with a few big name signings does not work. And with only 5 overseas spots open could this destory the standard of the league in a way. I can see a lot of players move to the club from other A-league teams purely to just play football in melbourne. But what about the other teams? Current clubs struggle with depth as it is?

Melbourne Heart? surely that could come up with a better name than that.
Melbourne Athletic?
Melbourne Rangers?
Sporting Melbourne?
Melbourne SC?
Melbourne International? -
kinda like a cross between SC Internacional of Sao Paulo, Brazil and
Internazionale of Milan, Italy

Just a couple extra suggestions but i like the name Sporting Melbourne:thumbsu:
and i thought the club logo that was created for it looked fantastic and could definately be moulded to suit the particular club.

Surely The Revolution one will get up - it sounds half decent and "revolution" sounds "big".

If Heart FC gets up, Melbourne will be the laughing stock of Australia.

God i hope not, the whole Americanisation of the league has made it a laughing stock. Fury, Roar, Jets... spare me, we should keep traditional names that represent our culture, and footballing history, Revolution is just another stupid american appendage.

My preferences out of those options:

1 - Sporting Melbourne. Purely personal, but a club called Sporting wearing red and white, yeah!!! Also think it's the most sensible option.

2 - Melbournians/Melburnians (which spelling?). Has a kind of old-school feel to it. Maybe sounds too much like a posh boarding school though.

3 - Melbourne Heart. Don't particularly like it, but at least the name's already out there in discussion.

4 - Melbourne Revolution. Agree with Amies, that's a shocker. Down with this sort of thing!
