Melbourne overrated

You will probably be wrong.
Was a completely fair question to ask when one of your fans stated we are rubbish and inferred that you would beat us easily round 1.
FWIW I think we will lose round one, but no one can be certain given our last encounter.

But are we overrated? Get stuffed. Just because there's hype about our young list doesn't mean we're OVERRATED, it just means that we're on the rise and there's POTENTIAL in our list.
How can you call a team overrated when they won 8.5 games the previous season? I think a few of you haven't really thought this through very well.
Anyway, I'm of the belief we will make the 8. Things are falling into place, and people don't give the middle aged players the respect they deserve (Sylvia, Moloney, Jamar, Davey etc).

lol, didn't think for a second i was putting your club down by saying you only had 5 players with star potential.. most clubs would kill for that, and Morton has potential but not star potential, unless you consider Sam Gilbert a star

Watts hasn't shown star potential yet (Trengove arguably too). Both still have time however.

Teams like Adelaide who IMO are ahead of them developmentally at this stage.
I was just struggling with the relevance of what last time the two teams met had to do with this game.

But i was referring to the topic of conversation being that Melbourne are at shorter odds than Sydney to make the finals. Which is laughable. FWIW i will be using Sydney in my multi, potentially over 39.5 as well.

Within a season, maybe. Not going on 9 months later with big changes to each time.
It's 5-1 to Sydney in the last 6. I'm pretty happy to back that as an aberration.

if you think about it carefully, you might see how 5-1 doesn't reflect the current team situations
i think it will be a close game, i also think sydney will get up, our midfield has been depleted significantly in the tackling department
although considering the last game it's no wonder people are putting money on melbourne to win, obviously that doesn't mean they will be right

What do you think our record was against virtually all teams when we spent consecutive years propping up the ladder winning spoons ?
Losing 3 matches by less than a goal to top 4 teams at the 'G last year must also have been aberrations.
When does an abberation cease to be an aberration ? Answer: when it happens consistently.
How have we gone so far during the 2011 H&A. Answer: it hasn't even started.
