Not going. Probably not even going to watch.

I don't think I'm going to bother with the rest of the season to be honest.

Man, I don't know how you sit so close to Don every week and haven't given him a total earful.

I'll be going to three of the next four - with mates from each opposing team my only company.

I liked your post just so I could unlike it.

I know it's ****ing tough, but harden up Striker - we need all the support we can get.

Deserting the players will only get them more down.

Nah, it will be a closer game than we think in the first half. We'll come out relatively fired up (i.e. still half asleep), compete well, lay some big tackles, really try hard, but somehow avoid kicking goals. Then you'll get a quick rebound, then a lucky clearance out of the middle, then a cheap free kick, and then we'll roll over meekly and you will smash us for the remainder of the game.

That's just the way it is, some things will never change.

The exact same thing could be said about us vs Collingwood, Geelong and Carlton... but yes, they are a class above you guys.

B: Rhode Wight S Febey
HB: B Lovett Neitz M Febey
C Tingay Viney Dyson
HF Lyon Schwarz Lovell
F: Charles Jakovich Grinter
R: Stynes G Lovett Obst

Int: Kowal, Doyle

*Norrish has been in some good form in the ressies

Always love a nostalgic line up! Shows how poor our list is compared to those days in the 90's.

If we get rolled by anything under 100 points I'll be surprised. And if we kick more than 10 goals I'll be even more surprised.

Why do you have coke head lyon in your team
Would love to know where people have gotten this intel from?

Is it a 'heard it from another bloke' kind of deal?

The worst part about struggling as a team is that downhill skiers tend to put in their good games against you.

You go for years thinking that a bloke is a good player despite his own supporters turning thier nose up at you and asking whether you watch any of thier games and dont find out he isnt until you ...... recruit him.

Based on the above we might be able to offload Grigg to you for an inflated price at the end of the year. Jacksons goals will hurt more if Neelds starts thinking, 'This is the type of bloke we need to get into our team next year.

BTW don't think the RFC boys posting conservatively here is a sign of being patronizing or condescending.

If Richmond was a mental disorder, it would be bi-polar manic depression. We can look like footy gods against the Hawks/Swans one minute, and then look like Kananook under 12's against the GWS and GC the next.

We are nervous going into this game because it is the type of game we like to implode in. Go in confident, feeling happy, and let you run over us for 3 quarters before we finally get a clue and realize this shit is real.

Regarding the game, in terms of issues we have that could get you the win:

- our game is based around getting rebound of the backline and run run run. This is why we play shit against Freo, push us to the boundary and force the stoppages and we go to shit. We always play on, so your guys just need to force the man to play over the mark, and tackle tackle tackle.

- Maric was okay against Port, but we still have concerns he may be carrying an injury. If its Stephenson and Vickery, they are a serviceable ruck unit, and thats it.

- Our inside brigade was initially Cotchin, Tuck, Conca, and Martin. In your game, Cotchin is coming back from a week off with a knee, Tuck is out, Conca is out. They are replaced by Foley (one game back after a year off injured) and one of (most likely) Lonergan (first game if promoted since injury last year in the AFL) or Arnot (first game, has discipline issues). This makes our inside work more vulnerable than it normally would be.

- Pettard out and Knights out mean our mids may have to play back to cover Pettard (most likely Houli/Newman/Vlastuin) and Knights (Martin, Newman, Deledio). This will take a bit away from our ability to rotate, as these guys will need to spend more time away from the middle than ideal.

- Our forward line has been pretty dysfunctional most of the year, but once they get on a roll they do inflict some pain. Lock them up, the confidence gets down, and the shots start spraying (our accuracy in front of goal has been awful in some games).

We've got a lot of injuries/injury clouds, it will probably be wet, and we're not really a side that absolutely punishes teams. We won't get close to winning by 100. I'd expect to win and win well, but it will be somewhere between 40-60 points. After being embarrassed last week I'd expect you guys to want to make some sort of statement. I'd probably have prefered it if you won last week.

We will... For a half. Then we'll return to the status quo of our inept style of play. We just can't maintain our form for more than a half, generally only for a quarter.

I think you may be pleasantly surprised by the winning margin.

Is there a cup for this game?

The David Rodan/Brad Miller/Clay Sampson/Michael Pickering/Strawbs ODwyer cup.
The Ross Funcke Cup

Although I do like the sound of "The Neeld Shield".

Love the team jakka, where is the wiz ? The day he pantsed the pies was bloody magnificent.

Letting Spalding go to Carlton was a major disappointment.

Get Balmey Daners and Northey to coach, what a combination

We lost games to Port in Alice and GCS in Cairns last year. That's why Tigers fans are so conservative because we "should" win this game comfortably but in recent years we don't turn up for 3 qtrs and then try to win it with one quarter of play. I will be saving my money with TAB until either qtr time or half time when the Tigers move out to $1.50 when there is a decent contest and then will load up on them for the win. I can see Dawes/Gawn monstering Rance but honestly can't see where you will get 15 goals from to win. Tigers by 50-60

Jamar and Watts are likely to return, hopefully Watts plays forward to give us some chance of scoring.

Surely, I wouldn't want to drop any of Dunn/Strauss/Terlich - especially considering they're a bit more suited to taking small considering their height compared to Watts.

Jack will play forward, that will take some pressure of Dawes, Gawn and Howe.

You would hope so anyway. He gives us another taller target at any rate who will take some of the focus off the others.

Jamar coming back will make a huge difference as well.

The team for mine:

Full Back: Dunn, Sellar, Nicholson

Half Back: Garland, Frawley, Terlich

Centre: McKenzie, Viney, M. Jones

Half Forward: Watts, Dawes, Howe

Full Forward: Davey, Gawn, Byrnes

Followers: Jamar, Evans, N. Jones

Interchange: Rodan, Trengove, Magner, Strauss (sub)

IN: Trengove, Jamar, Rodan, Magner, Davey
OUT: Sylvia (susp.), Mcdonald (inj.), Spencer (omit), Bail (omit), Kent (omit)

Notes:
Magner MUST be elevated, straight swap for Bail who had a howler on the weekend, can go get some form in the magoos. If trenners is unfit then Bail gets a reprieve or Kent as the sub.

The loss of Mcdonald hurts, but there's nothing we can do about it. Sellar or Garland to Vickery (is he playing???)

I don't want Rodan or Davey as the sub, they can be subbed out but I want them starting and Strauss to come on fresh

Rodan can run through mid and rest in the forward pocket, Davey PURELY as a crumber in the forward line. Byrnes hasn't been giving us much through the midfield either but he has a good goal sense, leave him at Gawn's feet with Davey - between the two of them they must be able to lock it in or score.

Jamar to ruck all day, rest at FF if he MUST, Gawn is better at FF nowadays with crumbers at his feet

Watts has stated he wants to be a forward again, well give him this game to prove himself, can swing to defence if there is an onslaught or towards the end of quarters
