Early Days But it looks like that the number of supporters from other clubs that purchased Kanga's Memberships last year was very large.

Best of luck Roo's

I think the same which is why I think that publicly saying that you are aiming for 40k members was an epic mistake as far as attracting sympathy members who are supporters of other clubs.

I honestly believe that if the AFL is too pig headed to give Tasmania a license over WS, I think WA should get a 3rd team. This would more likely see a new Stadium along with the new team...
Why should I have to support some 3rd rate half-assed afterthought of a team, just because the state government is farting on its hands at the moment?

I'd rather support the mighty Eagles on my couch til the day I die.

Iam a eagles member so im sorted already for next year.

Like has been said we have 45,000.00 members

I just brought a waiting in the wings memebership for my little cousin,
was told the waiting list is about 12,000.00

It sucks big time with Colin Barnett not giving us a new stadium.
Hmmmm....

I want to buy 0.67 of a membership

Richmond membership figure as of last Monday was:

Since we drafted Cousins it has been reported that at least 2000 people have signed up which would have us sitting close to 20k all up, matchday and non matchday members combined, which is not a bad figure as we head into Xmas.

I wish we could update our figures more than once a fortnight
The Hawks update theirs every 2 hours lol

Hawthorn Football Club is setting new membership records, being the first Victorian AFL Club ever to break through 30,000 members before Christmas.

The Hawks have signed up 30,087 members already, with 19,214 members signed up at the same time last year. With an increase of 57 per cent in membership to date, of which 22 per cent are new members, the Hawks are closing in fast on last season’s record membership of 41,686.

Great work by the Hawks :thumbsu:

Amazing what a bit of success will do for a footy club.

The Roo's look like they are in a heap of Trouble with only 7,000 members signed up

The Dogs and The Dee's are flying with their memberships compared to the Kanga's>

Where are the "White Knights" that JB was beating his chest about last year?

In the confectionery aisle of your local supermarket, with the rest of the chocolate bars! ;) :p :D

The RFC sign 3000 in 1 week...onya Tiges, onya Benny Boy!!!

30,000 compared to 19,000. Not too bad. Yeah we know most clubs add non ticketed and ticketed together. That's why they don't mention how many non ticketed members they have. Essendon only had 34,000 ticketed last year and not 40,000 as the total they give out

I could have sworn ours matched up last year - certainly there wasn't a great deal of change.

Can someone explain why Sydney's 4 game memberships aren't counted?

Response to the flag....just imagine what will happen when a big club like Richmond or Collingwood win it.

I'm Sorry Gaeliciogar but Richmond and Hawthorn have very similar supporter base number's and in the next 3-5 years Hawthorn will be well clear of Richmond as the 4th biggest club in victoria!

But if you are thinking of a big club you must be thinking of Collingwood, Essendon and Carlton!

Richmonds supporter base does not come close to the big 3!

In 3 years we'll be the biggest club in the league. Have you forgotten how many finals we have played in the last 28 years or are you just too young? ;)
If we make the finals in 2009 you'll see an increase of 10-20% in crowds compared to last year and we should average about 48,000 per game. But our game at Carrara and Skilled stadium will bring our average down though. If those 2 games were at the G(which would be the case for Collingwood, Carlton and Essendon) then we'd average about 50,000 per game. But many older Tiger fans will need a bit more convincing than just 1 year in the finals after years of frustration with only 2 single years in the finals and plenty of 9ths and spoons. If we continue our success in 2010, we'll average maybe 52,000 per game due to alot of the older grumpy bandwagoners coming back and we'll also be making a new generation of young fans. But we play another home game at Carrara in 2010, so that will lower our average crowd once again. We'll be the loudest and most exciting supporter base once again and it will only grow to 55,000 in 2011 with further onfield success and we won't be selling and home games anymore either
