The smaller clubs need to put in extra effort.

I think rfc_o touched on this last year.

Remember someone asking why no advertising for rfc memberships in dec/jan. Think he replied data shows rather than promotions being spread over the entire pre season, they get many more sign ups with a massive blast over a short period just before the season

Reckon hawks are doing the same thing, and we are in the midst of their blitz

Correct. Footy is back in people's mind and AFL also does a campaign, why not piggyback off that.
 
What do we think of the video?
The vid of the supporters walking to the G doesn't have enough people in it. We always have way more walking to the G before a game from Richmond.

Should've used footage of the Richmond supporters walking to the G before the elimination final

Also, the roar at the end of the commercial isn't loud enough. Should've used sound bytes from the elimination file

Just use the whole elimination final... well the first half and then just leave it at half time and say the next part is up to you or something ;)
 
Just saw the new membership video. It's ok.
So the theme is coming home and trying to entice new tiger supporters to sign up.
Good to see a young girl and a young lady as some of the main subjects. The club is trying to sign up more females as we have one of the lowest % of female members.
More supporters walking to the G as stated and more players involved would have filled the scenes.
Coming home also involves the past. Some older player/ legends of the club in the video would have helped.
The theme that coming home or that you are coming home to family is one that try's to catch the emotion of the club.
How good would it have been if Tshirt Tommy was talking to the young girl holding the premiership cup, explaining what happened, while the little girl looks on in amazement. The grandpa looks on knowingly but loving every minute.
KB, Francis, Bamely and Neville Crowe, Richmond have so many great stories to tell, but missed an opportunity to convey it.
I think the membership video was ok, but didn't hit the mark.
 
great initiative by the club. No other club has done anything like this. just shows our marketing dept is ahead of the game.

Have to say the song is very boring though, and RFC is not a boring club. I can see they've gone for the "safe" option to appeal to families, but next time they should rock out.
