I'm a little surprised by Essendons numbers. Their roll over obviously just happened. I was expecting them to be much closer to us or perhaps surpass us. Also it's worth noting that Essendon usually starts off strongly in the membership tally but then drops off fair quickly.

The 110% drive irritates me. Especially after losing to Carlton in an elimination final last year. Just signed up for a level 2 membership which cost me $340 and I get an email saying we want more basically. Wanted to reply and say that if we can manage to beat the Blues twice this year I'll give em extra lol.

Yep. I agree. I have upgraded my membership package and will now be spending around $1200 including the kids and within a week of doing so I've had an email and a text asking for more. It's a bit cheeky I reckon.

They should be careful how they do that. If they are going to do the 110% campaign then they should only ask if you would like to contribute when you upgrade or purchase the membership. Once someone says "no" then they should just drop it.

I never got any messages or text myself because I contributed when purchasing my membership.

It probably not the best thought out campaign. I can see how some people can be put off the club with this campaign. I just hope it doesn't result in people not renewing their membership in the future.

We'll probably bridge the gap during the season. They're about 12k up on last year and we're 19.5k up. We're on target for 80k and they're on target for at least 90k. Wonder if we'll stop counting 2014 membership sales 2 months before the end of the season like we did this year though. If not we could end up with 82 or 83k
