Exactly. Why not have a bit of variation. This is fiction of course; West Coast and Richmond both have too big a fan base to merge any time soon.

and also the problem with west coast tigers is that people keep the black and yellow, and the tigers mascot, which ends up looking more like a richmond clash strip than a merger guernsey

My entry is coming, nothing spectacular, but going with the same idea of grabbing two colors from both teams that arent usually used as a combination.

In this case, black and blue. So bear with me.

the last one ran for at least 2 weeks and kit of the week has run for almost a month now

I know this is probably too late, but why not have guernseys "of the month" instead of "of the week", ie Merger of the Month, Crossover of the Month, International Team of the Month. Each competition could run for two or maybe three weeks, and then there would be two or one weeks for voting. That way there would be more time for people to work on their entries which means better quality guernseys and more time for voting which means the results are more telling. The competitions could also be staggered with one starting the first week of the month, the next starting the second week of the month, etc. That way there wouldn't be too much going on at once. Like I said, it's probably too late since the Kit of the Week 17 Decider has already started, but I think that'd be a good way to make everyone happy.

i reckon a months way to long

sure they wont run for a week, but merger of the week sounds a lot better than merger of an undetermined amount of time

i'll end this after a week if that what people would preer

Agree that a month is too long. How about "of the fortnight"??
Or easiest for me...leave everything as is, and run comps for a week.

I dont see the big deal extending comps to a fortnight as was happening anyway.
Dunno what's best, you guys would from experience----whether to be rigidly a week max for entries (enough entries gained?), or as they are now, allowing some leeway to extend beyond.

"________" of the Week would still be the way to go for me anyway. Rolls off the tongue nicely. It's OK to give a couple of days grace if notice is given (i.e. "I'm working on one, will be up soon") but anything as long as a month is just too much.

My design is coming along, sorry for the delay, will post it asap. Am using GANTY's template. Have gotten it all pretty much done, just trying to think of something different/cool for a main design.

I didn't really want to do this, but it happened as I went along, mind of it's own.
I wanted to do a very black-blue concept with a dollop of yellow.
Will save that for my #2 entry if i don't miss the boat.

Well everyone knows how much I love gradients lol.
I didnt even want yellow to dominate that much on the front.
Wanted it a very black-blue front with some slight yellow touches, but just couldnt think of something different.
