The jumpers are great, but i think that the original aussie rules shorts and socks designs make the strips look better. E.g. just the line or curve on the shorts, and traditional socks E.g. hoops or different colour at the top.

If I do this i will lose the effect of the flowing blue. I made a copy to c what It would look like and it doesnt look that great.

No club does that. The jumper is the jumper, the shorts are the shorts and the socks are the socks. None of this flowing or continuation effect.

My home guernsey is based on the Richmond home with the sash but used blue as it is a West Coast Colour. The logo(yes a logo guernsey)is on the side.

Clash:
My Clash guernsey has a bit of everything. The tiger scratches are based on the pre-season jumper worn by the tigers. The bottom bit with yellow and blue is based on the eagles home guernsey

I have an idea in my head for a jumper that uses that tiger, do you mind if I use it?

Pretty happy with how this turned out.

So what I have done with the logo is yous the Tigers head and then replaced all the black with the west coast blue. The text on the logo is based on the West Coast logo and i went with the name 'West Coast Tigers' as it has the best ring to it.

With Home and Away strip I tried to keep in mind the famous quote 'less is more' and went for a traditional look with a modern twist.

Home Strip:
With the home strip I based it on the curent WCE Home strip with my own additions. The first thing that is obvious is the tiger head replacing the eagle. Tecnically speaking, it is completly a different design, but aesthetically looks similar. The shorts have a thick yellow strip that twist to the back with whit detailing on the front. The socks are predominantly yellow with blue stripe runing down the outer sides and white detailing either side of the stripe. If you havent already realised the blue intentionally flows from the gurnsey to the shorts then to the socks.

Away strip:
This one was based on Richmonds away strip with the black being inverted (to white). I tried to keep it similar to the Home strip and i have gone this mainly with they design on the back, the shorts and the blue on the shoulders. The insperation for the blue on the shoulders is from reeboks current gurnsey design (which is used by Richmond). The design on the socks is done to mach the back of the gurnsey with the rounded shape.

Things to note:
I used one sponsor from each club, Dick Smith (Richmond) and Hungry Jacks (WCE). I have put the leters 'WCERFC' on the upper back, it stands for West Cost Eagles and Richmon FC. This is traditionally what is done when to clubs merge. The Away strip is predominantly white because it avoids claching with most teams Home strip. Finally, on the Home strip you will be able to see whit detailing through out the strip this is based off the current WCE home strip


I think they overall layout presentation is very effective. Any thoughts guys?

You would be surprised that a lot of the high detail jumpers would still look awesome on the field, everything in the game has gone modern, except the jumpers, some clash jumpers are sort of there but all in all they follow each other, ie. white with a logo head.

Boring! It would be awesome to see more modern design with heritage references!!

Thanks for the feedback, I am still worried about your design. Are you a desiner by any chance? Your work looks very cleam, Nice layout, Nice logo, No pixelation and all your work looks to have that profesional finish..

Looks amazing, your probably the only talent I have seen on here, made everything from scratch (I can tell im a graphic Designer)

Only bad thing i have 2 say is it looks tomuch like richmond, I understand you used the WA colours but there needs to be some blue in there. Other then that top stuff.

Yeah I can see that but the voters might not. But the fact that you have used puma makes it look more like WCE as does the strip down the middle. The use of gradients doesnt look to bad although gradients on footy jumpers can turn out horrible - just ask melbourne wither away gurnsey of 2009.

Agree with Coolknot, I like the home jumper, but the away jumper is too busy for me. A bit too much going on at once. And also try to keep each of the socks same colours. And keep those small corners on the back of the shorts the same colour

I like the idea mobitout but just a few things that I think need fixing up.
I think the vee on the back is a bit unecessary but each to their own I guess The shorts arent supposed to be two tone and I think the socks on the clash/black kit need to be different to the sock on the home/yellow kit.

Introducing the West Coast Tigers.

Just a quick effort to put my hat in the ring. Home jumper is inspired by the black swan design worn by West Australian teams in state of origin and U18's. Tiger logo is cleary the Claremont tiger. The jumper is West Coast Gold. The away design is inspired by the current newcastle away strip and uses west coast gold and richmond yellow in a stripe pattern. The numbers have returned to the front of the jumper due to the influence of the old WA jumper (on a side note, is this a predominately WA thing to do, The wafl clubs all have numbers on the front and looking at older designs at all levels in the west they appear to be the norm)

Agree with GANTY, i'm not relly a fan of the V on the back (doesn't look too bad on the away though)
And the shorts should remain one colour.
