Anyone else getting tired of Mick Malthouse's obvious lies?

Started with his denials about not having had discussions with Carlton about coaching next year and that he wouldn't be holding discussions or making any decisions until October. Well obviously that didn't happen and he was exposed there.

And now he's denying any involvement in the sacking of some of the Carlton support staff. I find it hard to believe that he's got nothing to do with it and the club are just acting alone here. If he's head coach he's obviously got lots to do with hiring and firing so why the denials? Does he really believe that people are going to buy his spin?

Already sick of the guy and he hasn't even started yet.
 
To be fair to Mick, he has been put in a difficult situation because of his media profile and position, and it was a case of damned if he does and damned if he doesn't tell the truth.

But seriously, it is kinda hilarious how he insists he's got nothing to do with this supposed assistant coach cleanout.

At the Pies B&F of 20111 he said he could never ever coach against them. Maybe that was said sincerely at the time, without an intention to deceive.

It happens.
 
I'll concede that he's in a difficult position but it's just so ridiculous listening to his denials when they're obviously completely bogus.
 
At the same best and fairest count he also said that he was born a Collingwood supporter and he will die a Collingwood supporter. Unless of course he was lying, which he wouldn't would he? No he doesn't lie, according to him.........
 
I still dont understand how he's ended up at Carlton.

He pretty much put his hand up to coach Richmond last year, saying Richmond will always be his home, and for whatever reason the Tigers decided against talking to him.

Im still not sure that was the right approach.
 
If the announcement that Mick has been signed hasnt happened yet (there could be lots of reasons why Mick hasnt been announced yet) then he cant say the cleanout was because of him

Quite clearly hes got the job and both parties know it, so obviously hes going to be getting stuck into it because 2013 for us started last week

But if Mick comes out and says "oh yeah I have asked Carlton to restructure their coaching panel"
"so you've signed then"
"nah nothing is signed yet"

That conversation would look more stupid than just saying it wasnt him for now

Richmond currently have a bromance with Hardwick which can only be worn off by not making the 8 for another 2 years

Hardwick is a very likable guy and fits the Richmond image, they would never cull him for someone better

How about wait until he's officially announced before commenting? For all we know maybe Malthouse is not the coach Carlton have signed and this Malthouse thing is all a smokescreen to get the media off the scent.

Bomber Thompson once said the same sort of thing about Geelong - after winning the 2009 premiership, I think, he said he was "now" more Geelong than Essendon.

Let's not forget these guys are coaches, and outside of football, not all that bright.
 
I heard that Nanette giggled her ass off when she heard that Ratts got the sack and everyone was blaming Mick. She knew 18 months ago that Mick was going to take his job. I don't why Mick told everyone that she was upset to the point of crying over everyone picking on Mick. He's such a liar.
 
Could just be a cleanout of coaching staff that have failed to deliver/develop in key areas for the past 2-3 years.
But if you want to combine aliens, Area 51 and Mick Malthouse into some conspiracy theory, go for it.
 
MM couldn't lie straight in bed. This exercise has been filled with untruths from MM and CFC.
The laughs will come with the truth that he doesn't have enough to work with to bring CFC that illusive premiership.
 
I'm surprised anyone really cares, as it's not like he has historically been Mr Upfront-And-Honest with people with whom he decides really don't need to know what he's thinking or doing. If Mick Malthouse wants to lie, let him do this.

what does this have to do with anything? Is he not allowed to ever coach against Collingwood because they're the team he supports?
