Looks like I better stop commentating on the Yappas. Seems like they like spitten on their own. The gene pool must be pretty low down there! Watched Thorpy train last after work. Looks like they have picked up some quality recruits. Anyone know who they are. A couple from Moe I think??

Thorpy will definately suprise a lot of sides this year.
I think they might be a roughie for top 4.

I heard Morwell East have recruited fairly strongly aswell.

Traf will definately be the side the beat though, their juniors
have been strong the past few years and thats now coming
through in the senior ranks - I think they are easily the side to beat
again.

I think Mirboo North will be thereabouts again, look to have lost a couple
of experienced players, but also picked up a couple of handy youngsters
that could fill the void.

Boolarra, like Thorpy will improve, they are probably a couple years away
yet though, if they can keep their young list in tact. Good size about a
couple lads down that way who could suprise.

Im not sure about Yarragon, Newborough, Hill End and Yinnar.
But Newborough and Hill End are usually always quiet during pre-season.

Heard the demons have picked up a few anyone know if they are real people and not just made up

If hes the toughest bloke in the league why did he move from moe to the mid gippy
 
Both you lad seem to think Thorpy will be the most
expensive side, I just looked through the players that
have been cleared to the club - and they are unknown to
me.

Can anyone elaborate of whether any of the following
players are any good:

Bradley Wedrowicz - From the Gippsland league.

Julian Price - From the Ellinbank league.

Shane Paynter - From the Ellinbank league.

Simon Lee - Gippsland League

John James - Gippsland League.

Interested to see where ppl think the money is going.
I havent heard of these blokes, are they any good?
 
Wedrowicz, Lee and James all from Moe. Reserves players there. Wouldnt be on much, I wouldnt reckon.

Price and Paynter are from Nilma Darnum.

Price lucky injuries gave him a premiership medallion as he played most of the season in the reserves. Beautiful long kick on the run. Very light but is an excellent outside player. Will kill it in Mid Gippy. The only sad thing about him is that he is 27 and should have his best footy ahead of him in a better comp but will find his feet dragging, in 2011, back to the slow old Mid Gippy standard.

Paynter played reserves all year and was probably never in the best players. Played injured - has a suspect lower back that gives his hammy's and hips hell. May play seniors early but I wouldnt expect that would continue for too long. He has played Mid Gippy before as a younger man and didnt play much senior footy then so one would think not a lot would change. Went to Thorpy to coach the Thirds.

Cheers pluggeroo, your a well of knowledge champ..

Dan Grima is a pretty handy player aswell,
Wouldnt take a backwards step from anyone,
but has been on the other end of it in Mid Gippy
as far as blues go.

Symon Lee is a good player. has played seniors at Moe since he was 16. struggle to think why he would leave other than good coin. brad wedrowicz hasnt played for a couple of years thru injury and the other two from moe were mainly ressie players. interesting to note Cowwarr smashed thorpy by 100 plus points last weekend. throwing cash around doesnt always bring success, so time will tell wether thorpy will improve or not

You would think he'd be off to play with Woodside if its true
that he has left the East - considering his brother is coaching
Woodside and has another brother playing there aswell.

Class player is Phil Pavey, probably the best kick in Mid Gippy.

Dees have picked up a heap of new blokes and have got a few former players back to club. No absolute guns but should have a lot more depth this year unlike last season when they were smashed by injuries and had too many 3rds players running around and not enough senior players to lead the way. Should win a few games. I am biased tho so thats just my opinion

Reckon Yarragon would have Thorpy covered for most expensive easily.

Cheffers isnt a sook, goes in and under. doesnt get many easy kicks

And obiously haven't watched TePaa at Morwell East much.

Thats funny, Webby would be lucky to be in the top 20 most paid players in Mid Gippy
 
Tim Trail might not be lost to Mid Gippy just yet. Lotta water to flow under the bridge yet. Watch this space. ;)
