Re: Mid Gippy 2011

Its a bit presumptuous to assume we spoke to everybody. The players we spoke to were players we felt we needed to improve on last year. Dan orchestrated the meeting with us, not the other way around.

Wouldnt have spoken to more than 8 or 9 players but got the key players we were after. Got 4 to the club and all were ex-players. You cant really do any more than that.

The big challenge has been keeping the players we have. One player was offered 10k to join a NGFL club for 2012. Certainly some money in the North Gippy, thats for sure.

I must have been a bit presumptuous thinking "we spoke" doesnt mean "we spoke". It must mean the club spoke. Now I get it.
So Plugger, when you say your role at the club "is of a coaching nature" does that mean you are involved in coaching a team or does it mean you hold the white board.

My role this year was working the board during the match but for next year it will be a more hands on role with the players, which i am looking forward to.

Re: Mid Gippy 2011

Hancock has been pulling down the pants on all the ruck men he has played against for the last 3-4 years in for moe so I will be letting you know when he pulls webbs down he should have won the league B&F polled more votes than the rest but was rubbed out for a Sam Newman slap.

Hancock is a good ruckman. In the top handful in the Gippsland region I'd say. Hancock probably has been dominating the last 5 years because that is the time that Webb left the Gippsland league! Before that time Hancock was easily the second best ruckman probably followed by McCallum from Drouin. I've heard there has been a big lack of quality experienced ruckman in the Gippsland league the last few years (and most leagues for that matter).

TO PLUGGEROO

You don't need money to get players to come back home to there junior clubs. But players like Ivey, martins, mooney, Harris didn't play juniors at Nilma and your not a guru of requiting. If you read my post right that is what i am saying. You are not a recruiting officer You are only the man that dose the paper work and holds white board so you don't do much at all. Your the bloke every one forgets win they have a premiership reunion.

Show some respect you clown.

Re: Mid Gippy 2011

I was talking to plugger about some of his previous comments and was explaining what i had said for the third time and then addedd some home truths on the end. (You are not a recruiting officer You are only the man that dose the paper work and holds white board so you don't do much at all. Your the bloke every one forgets win they have a premiership reunion). Harden up clean heels.

Learn how to spell, maybe then your statements will have some credibility.

It would seem a number of posts and posters on this forum lack credibility, never let the truth stand in the way of a good story. :):):)
Im shattered Pluggeroo is'nt the Guru I thought he was.

I would have thought the Pointy Heads were the Collingwood of Mid Gippy!

Thats a fair dig when your've only been at Newborough for a year. Needless to say your inexperience at that club proves your delusional view. Every club in mid gippy knows Newborough are the scum!

Re: Mid Gippy 2011

Couple of nerves hit right there. Now we know the allegances, things bcome a little clearer. OK!

For the record, I didnt come down in the last shower, nor did I just move to the area. I am well aware of what people think of different clubs in the Mid Gippy.

Re: Mid Gippy 2011

There is only one club that sells food and drinks out of there boot at Opposition games ...

That is clearly the stupidest thing I have ever heard on this forum. And that's saying something when you think I have been at Darnum for years and put up with the Nyora and Cora Lynn people on here dissing the club. At least those blokes were witty and clever in what they said. Even enough to have a little chuckle.

You, Sir, are an ass of the highest order. I am clearly dumber for having read that.

To think, people like you will be in charge of something one day is disturbing to say the least!

Will you be cutting the oranges, filling up the drink bottles or rubbing a bit of deep heat into the boys as part of your hands on role Plugger?

This is not the stupidest thing ever posted on this forum, because I know this has happened regularly. I'm pretty sure Training Mad is not involved as the same club as me either.

Pluggeroo shouldn't you be baby sitting your gran kids or something. By the sounds of it, your that out of date! All the best with the oranges next year.

Once again Newborough = Scum

Re: Mid Gippy 2011

Any news on preseason training at any club?

Any clubs training hard?

Apart from newbrough who has recruited well?

And who can do a good ladder prediction this early for 2012?

Who do you think will win the flag?

Give us a top 10 players from 2011?

And then give top 10 for 2012?

Throw it out there!!!! We can revisit the results and see who got the closest!!

Re: Mid Gippy 2011

No training reports here.

But Newborough would be outright favs to take
out the flag, judging from what Im hearing, etc.

so ill go from 1. Newborough.
2. Mirboo North.
3. Trafalgar.
4. Boolarra.
5. Yinnar/Morwell East.

Best players in 2011, clearly Matt Dyer.

Expect that to continue and maybe throw Visser in there
if he can see out the year injury free.

Perhaps Pluggeroo can give us a peak into Newborough as they
definately have the opposition talking and are clear favs to take it out.

Hard to say GW. Our match practice at training has been very competitive, although there hasnt been as good-a-numbers as the club would have liked, but maybe its just the time of year. Some of the players that didnt train early are now training which is good. There may be one more addition to the playing stocks, a midfielder, but other than that the group really isnt under any illusions about what lies ahead. they know they have to be "up" for a lot of the year, and at the right time as well. All you can do is try and finish top 3 and you are as good-a-chance as anyone to win it, I reckon.

We will be better than last year, I reckon, but the depth of our key position players is probably not as good as it could be. Injuries could change a lot of things. Cant wait til the season begins, really.
