Geez I can't believe Tom McC is under 22. How good does he go? Add Logan and they've got the bookends nicely covered, the bastards

Fingers crossed at least one of Amiss or Treacy skyrocket next season. Combined with Cox who only narrowly misses the U22 criteria and we're not looking half bad either.

Cox actually misses out by about 13 months. To be eligible a player has to be under 23 when the season finishes on the 24th of September. So all of the 2016 draft is ineligible, and most of the 2017 draft is ineligible as well. Zac Bailey for instance is ineligible because he turns 23 on the 23rd of September.

I just noticed.

Freo is the only side not to have 100 points kicked against us in the home and away season (so far).

That to me says our defence is elite and our midfield isn't far behind. We have been building from the back since 2016/2017 and are probably just a key-forward and small/creative-forward short.

I feel that's true, particularly with our wing stocks looking better this year.
However with Lobb moving that becomes 2 KPF in the short term, with Amiss hopefully covering one role in the next 2-3 years.

Agreed however I think our midfield needs to start kicking more goals.

Bailey Williams was discussed….

It's best to work backwards on that.

Max points we can get is 62. That would put us 2nd on the current ladder.

To stay there Collingwood can't win another game - they play Sydney and Carlton
To finish 3rd/4th we need two of Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane to not win two games.

Melbourne play Carlton and Brisbane - only one of Melbourne or Brisbane could win two games.
Sydney play Collingwood and St Kilda

It's really only whichever of Melbourne or Brisbane lose next weekend winning this weekend and we finish top four.

If both Melbourne and Brisbane lose this weekend we only need to win our remaining two games to finish top four.

If Sydney lose either this weekend or next weekend, we finish 4th.

That draw sucked but it made the calculation very simple for us.

The draw was nearly as good as a win for us considering our lower percentage with all the relevant teams except Collingwood. I'm still a bit disappointed we're not going into the Derby trying to make up 10% though.

Economist
It surprises me that Carlton are such a low chance to miss the 8. I can see them not winning a game and the Dogs winning both and replacing them in the 8.

Saints look like the most gone. They might win 1 but both a big ask.

Richmond surely get a win on the board out of the 2 games if not win both.
